    Used blogger for quite a while. Then they restricted some of my template editing so I basically gave up. I like to have the freedom to customize everything about the looks on my page, so I guess a wordpress blog would be right for me :)

    Hi, thanks for the great post. Can I make a quick suggestion, would you agree it is always good practice to take a backup / download your current template before you start removing any bits of code....just in case. I say this as I've made changes in the past and then thought..."Hmm, don't like it" but then, I couldn't remember what the original line or setting I changed should have been.

    And Yes...I will update my blog (http://makefireoutoffear.blogspot.com) so I don't keep coming across very similar looking ones.

    When i make my first blogger, It took me much time on ibcreasing width and adding custom themes. I searched allot and then i done that. your lens is great for a newbie as he can make his blog best with these which totally look custom. Will add its link on my blogger hope you do not mind that.

    Adrain, someone told me that it's against Blogger's TOU to remove the Nav Bar. You might want to look into that.

    Lydia, I don't know of a way to condense your tags besides eliminating a few. You could always move the module to the bottom of your sidebar if it's bothering you. ;)

    Well, first you'd need to make sure that that's okay with the designer. Then you'd have to upload the images to the web and then plug in the links into your template. Hope that helps!

    Christine, I think so! Look in the HTML for the code for the sidebar. If you see the background set to white (FFF or FFFFFF) then change that to a new Hexadecimal code. :)

    Jodi, I'm guessing that your banner is big? Let's say your banner is 850 px. Your whole template is probably set to something like 650 px. The banner is not centering itself because it's working off those numbers. If this is all confusing, you can e-mail me (under my name above).
