Some people have dogs, some have cats, and others have birds. However, for those of us who just want a pure bundle of love, we have a bunny. Whether sprawling on the floor, tucked up in a ball, or hopping about, bunnies are undeniably adorable.

Contestant #1
Our first contestant is a multi-colored lop earred youngster who is peering out from a basket surrounded by hydrangea. Like most cute bunnies his fur looks caress-worthy and his long ears and short nose give him a forlorn look that begs to be loved.
Contestant #2
Our second nominee is a more serious bunny. He's clearly an intellectual. Bespectacled and with a very serious coutenance, he's a bunny for those who aren't intimidated by more learned mammals who do more than chew on the pages of a good book.
Contestant #3
Our third contender appears to be the type of bunny that's comfortable anywhere. Casually nestled amongst the hydrangea, he's unperturbed by anyone who passes. He's another Holland lop earred rabbit that looks ready to cuddle at a moment's notice.
Contestant #4
The close up on this rabbit, munching lush foliage for his mid-day meal, may mask his wild side. While his big brown, unblinking eyes are the picture of innocence, his tawny fur may be a sign that this is no pet, but a wild (and ferocious) rabbit. Whatever his true character, there's no doubt he deserves a place on any list of cute bunnies.

Our fifth candidate is actually a snowshoe hare rather than a dimunitive domesticated bunny. However, there's no denying the appeal of those oversized ears, twitching nostrils, and the oh-so rounded physique.

Just a warning about these somewhat blunted bunnies: they are not dolls, they are actual living, breathing, Netherland Dwarf rabbits. With their shorter ears, these youngsters almost look like piglets if you squint really hard; but it's probably just the pinkness.

Sometimes cute bunnies are at their best from the rear. With the nub of a tail and the crazy, out of whack ears, this bunny could easily be mistaken for a small aircraft struggling to get airborne.

Tucked in amongst the tulips, two kittens sit with their mother. Yes, that's right they're called kittens too, but if you prefer, we can just call them cute!

This little guy is having a greay day. He's not only on our list of cute bunnies but look at all that delectable clover surrounding him!

Another bunny in the garden this one is a Mini Rex. He sits among some pansies and other flora at full attention.

These Palomino rabbits are checking out their surroundings. With bunnies that look like this, it's hard to imagine why gardeners get so upset with rabbits in their garden.

These New Zealand rabbits are kicking back and relaxing in the garden too. It's a recurring theme, but is it possible to have too many pictures of cute bunnies in the garden? No, I didn't think so.

Let's see, what makes this bunny so adorable? The raised paws. No? Maybe the floppy ears. No? Ok, it's the the big brown eyes and the entire package that bowl you over.

Oh, no. It's another Holland Lop standing up to check things out. Those dangling paws again. Well, if you love this front on view of those chubby little paws, you might want to give this one your vote.

Maybe this is what rabbits do while we're not around. Maybe they hop just for our benefit? Anyway, clearly there are a lot of cute bunnies standing around on two legs, or haunches, or whatever.
