    I actually did all the things you're talking about after I had my son. I discovered though, that if I have to pay for something, it's not usually a good thing. This is a nice lens, but, I say, if you have to pay, don't do it.

    Thanks for the complement Dkprincess6. I do understand your point of view, if it is a contest for something that your kid already qualifies for, you shouldn't pay for it. You still can submit your kids photo for free and it will be posted, it just won't participate in the competition for the $25,000 college education fund.

    But from the organizing company's perspective, you wouldn't open it for free. A small fee (less than $20) you'll get you to make sure to take the best shot of your kid in order to maximize your chances of winning what you really deserve. It's their way to control the level of competition.

    Besides, who will pay the $25,000 if you don't pay this small fee? For some wasting money on lottery tickets is fun and worth it. Well, this is not a lottery (not a luck game) and it's for your kid's benefits.
