Cute Kittens Come in Many Colors

Ranked #3,701 in Pets & Animals, #93,816 overall

If you are looking for a new Cat, Kittens can be Fun!

Cats can have up to 4 litters in a year, and can have around 5 to 6 Kittens in a litter. Sometimes, they can have up to 8 or 10! That is a very busy kitty mom, as she will be feeding for 4 weeks straight! If you have a pregnant cat, be sure to feed her lots of high calorie cat food, preferably cat food that is organic and full of omega 3 and 6 oils. The important thing is that mommy has lots of fat, and lots of fish type oil to feed her growing kittens.

Kittens often do not look like their mothers, but more like their fathers. And, often, they will look nothing like either parent, as they can have recessive genes that can occur on a whim, when you least expect it! Kittens are usually born within 2 months, and are usually active and moving around by the 4th week. They are born with their eyes closed, and they are deaf. The newly born kitten relies on mom for its very existence, and often few kittens in the first two weeks survive in nature. That is why they can have so many kittens!

Kittens are very playful, and are the most fun for cat lovers. If you are missing having a kitten, come along for a fun ride with me, as we look as some cutey pies, and some fun sayings that are just purrfect!

I love a brown tabby

American Shorthair to be specific

Brown Tabby KittensDo you love brown tabbies? I do! I do not know why, but a brown tabby, with white socks, and a pink nose, I am hooked! We have two brown striped kitties right now, but they are no longer kittens, so a picture like the one shown, does make me smile!

I like to enjoy the cute little blue eyes, because most kittens have blue eyes when they are just born. They get their gold, green and brown eyes as they age. The blue color is very alluring don't you think? The kittens shown here are just developing from their blue eyes to either a green or a gold eye. The changing eyes often look silver or gray when this happens!

I do like brown tabbies as well, as it seems we always have good luck finding kittens in this color. They are playful, kind and very observant kittens. I do think that the color has some kind of kitten code for super playful, or quiet kittens. The brown tabbies are often not the most beautiful of cats, but they have the most rounded of personalities! Very playful at first, so watch your breakables, and then they become very good and happy cats who like to watch and sit.

“I usually take a two hour nap from one to four.”

E.T. Was Modeled after a Siamese Kitten

Look at those Ears!

Siamese Kittens

Siamese kittens have a giant triangular head, and bright blue eyes. They are often pointed with blue, gray, or brown colors, and have an all white or cream colored body. They are clumsy little guys!

“Dogs have Owners, Cats have Staff.”

Kittens can be Brown, Black, Orange, White....

Lots of Variety!

Look at those Eyes!

In one litter, you can have gray, black, brown or orange tabbies, or even an all white kitten! The litters are unexpected in terms of your colors, as you never know what nature will decide to share with you! They are such fun at this age.

“O what a tangled web of yarn we weave, once our owners up and leave.”

Kittens are Very Playful!

It helps them develop their prey skills

That Looks like Fun!

Being a predator, Kittens are often found following motion. They watch and will chase anything they think will be food, or something fun to catch. Try dancing a feather in front of a kitten, and see what happens!

I am so sorry to hear about FuzzyBub! We were saddened on Nov 5th, as we had to do the same to our Sheeba! She was so old, so it was the right decision, but never OK. I hope you find some good memories soon...
