Cute One Piece Bathing Suits

Once upon a time a few years ago a woman (me) lived in a tropical, palm tree lined fairy tale place (Florida). Living by the Gulf of Mexico, a cute swim suit (actually, multiple swim suits) were a vital necessity of everyday wear.

One day the woman, (me again) fell in love with Prince Charming and went off to live in another fairy tale place (North Carolina) where alas, no beaches existed anywhere near the woman's castle like they did in the first fairy tale place.



The woman not only found her dream Prince, but her dream job as well. She became the Stay At Home Queen who by day took care of two mini princesses as well as one young prince and by night sat at her computer spinning really cool fairy tales for others.

Life was indeed grand.

Time evolved in the magical land of North Carolina and the woman continued to live the dream while working at the royal computer, raising royal offspring and such.

Life was good and the woman was content. Then one day her prince told her they would be embarking on a journey back to the land of palm trees, sparkling water and bathing suits.

Wait a minute! Bathing suits?? This thought caused a royal panic within the womans mind while outwardly she displayed signs of joy and excitement for her prince.

As soon as the woman was alone in her castle, she dashed off to her royal dresser and stared warily, not to mention a little hostilely at The Drawer. The Drawer had remained closed, quietly guarding it's belongings for a very long time, creating a distance between the woman and the contents within.

The woman paced around The Drawer and wondered silently if its contents had changed since they last met. Perhaps they had....dare she think it, grown smaller in their dark safe cavern?

Surely she was the same slim woman she was before she sat down at the royal computer three years earlier. Surely with all the healthy, home cooked meals she prepared and the relentless activity of running the royal offspring from destination to destination would have ensured her slim figure would be preserved for all of time...... Wouldn't it?



And the woman smiled and laid down on the royal bed for a nice royal nap since all this stress had left her sleepy and yes, maybe even a little grumpy. So she laid her head down, closed her eyes and drifted off, peaceful and content in the knowledge that time does in fact stand still for all women when it come to staying the same bathing suit size forever............

Suddenly my eyes flew open, my heart violently pounding, causing me to sit straight up in bed. What a weird dream that was. I was actually entertaining sleep disguised thoughts that my bathing suits, my beloved bikinis, would no longer fit me. Of course they would......wouldn't they?

So I bravely dragged my feet, ever so slowly over to that same drawer (minus the royal adornments) that haunted my dream. I hesitantly reached out a slightly shaking hand, opened that drawer, and firmly grasped those bathing suits in my hand, carrying them slowly but so determinedly over to the mirror.

I held them up one by one and finally allowed the truth to sink in. Since the truth can't be altered or changed, I finally acknowledged the undeniable fact that my beloved bikinis had SHRUNK!

OK, I'm lying. Caught red handed right out here in front of all of you.

I have out grown my bathing suits, just a little.

OK, a lot.

I am going on a beach vacation in a few months with my family and for the first time in my life will be going to the beach.....in a one piece bathing suit.

Surely there are cute one piece swim suits out there for women and young ladies. Surely my ego, vanity and silly fixation on a bathing suit isn't going to ruin our family vacation is it?

Of course not. Why? Well just look at all these cute one piece bathing suits.
