Cute Turkeys You Can Make
Cute Turkeys For Your Table
Wouldn't you like to make these cute turkeys. They could be adorable place cards for your table or just decorations scattered down the center of the table. They even taste good! The instructions are fairly simple. This would be a fun activity for the children to do while they're waiting for dinner.
Here is how to make these cute turkeys!
You will need 2-packages of Double Stuffed Oreo ---2 cookies each turkey.
2 packages of candy corn ---each turkey uses 7 for feathers. Nose is the end of corn cut off & attached with frosting.
1 carton of Whoppers ---1 whopper per turkey
1 large package of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups --1 cup per turkey.
1 Pillsbury Chocolate frosting in little tub
small yellow frosting ...beak and feet
small white frosting ...eyes
pupil on eye can be a crumb or chocolate sprinkle cut in small pieces.
To do as many as you need, I would start with the faces..............
Count out Whoppers
1. Place 2 dots of white frosting on whoppers for eyes. Place crumb or small chocolate piece for pupil.
2. Cut or break off the white end of a candy corn for each whopper, attach with chocolate frosting forming beak.
3. With yellow frosting run a strip across beak.
4. SET ASIDE
Count out cookies....2 ea. turkey
1. Use yellow frosting to form feet
2. SET ASIDE
Place remaining cookie flat on counter
Count out and lay out candy corn. 7 for each turkey feathers. End of one for the beak .... I used the deformed corn for this.
1. With Oreo flat on the table, gently press candy corn into the double stuff. Place as if on a clock at 9, 12, & 3. Then place 2
candy corns between 9 & 12---and 2 corn between 12 & 3. Total of 7 candy corn (feathers). Gently lift to test how secure.
Count out Peanut Butter Cups
1. Unwrap and attach with chocolate frosting. Feathers at top and cup at bottom on edge of cookie.
2. Attach turkey head with frosting. Let them rest a while...........
3. Put a glob of frosting on cookie with feet to attach to top cookie and pb cup. Keep on back with feathers to rest until they are pretty secure.
