hatch.
4. By this stage the tadpoles are very fragile. They
will stick themselves to floating weeds.
5. The tadpoles starts with tiny legs and they body

dead insects and plants. The arms comes out,

FROGS VS. PREDATORS
*Snakes
*Lizards
*Birds
*Bats
Frogs comes with a natural way to protect themselves. One of the ways is the poisonous pockets called paratoid glands. The paratoid glands are located behind the ear.

Another way the can protect themselves is by camouflage. Most of them blend in with the background to distract and confuse the predator. There are some type of frogs, like Phrynohyas venulosa and Hyla avivoca. They both blend in very well with the environment.
Other frogs have bright color. These are the poisonous frogs. They have a bright color letting their predators know that they are deadly. Showing bright colors is a sign of danger.
For example:
Dendrobates azureus:The blue poison dart frog is a colorful frog found in the rainforests of Suriname, a country located in the northeastern part of South America. The blue poison dart frog uses its colors to warn predators of its toxic skin. If an animal eats the blue poison dart frog it will become very sick.
Blue poison dart frogs are poisonous due to their diet. They eat ants and other small insects that have toxins chemicals in their bodies. The frogs can eat these insects without getting sick.

When disturbed, it opens its huge red eyes and flashes its blue and yellow side body and leg colors. This defense technique is called startle coloration and together with the red eyes could shock the predator for a split second or two - just enough time for the frog to leap to safety.
This tree dwelling red eyed tree frog (agalychnis calidryas) is a vividly colorful species living in the lowlands of the Amazon rainforests of South and Central America near river inlets and lakes. They have has been spotted in the southern jungles of Mexico as well.
