Cute Purses

My family and I recently went on a one week vacation to Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida and you know my daughter and I had to find cute purses and luggage to travel in style first.

Of course, the basic black rolling suitcase works just fine except for one thing: I took the wrong bag from the conveyor when we went to Hawaii six months ago and what a hassle that was! I had to drive back to the airport and exchange it for my nondescript black rolling bag, meanwhile apologizing profusely, wasting an hour of beach time and generally feeling stupid.

This was not happening this trip. I needed to find something that would stand out in a crowd of boring bags. I needed something cute. It had to roll and it had to fit my stuff. So needless to say, I went with a traditional bag but with a twist - gold! It was pretty and shiny and no matter what I wear it matches (very important when traveling).

Here are our fall picks for cute purses in Orange.




This little beauty is one of those purses that is multi-functional case you haven't noticed, all of my purses tend to be that way. I'm not a terribly formal person but need to look professional during the day and then kick into jeans right afterwards. So my purses have to fit both moods and be cute.

This purse has the structure on the top that gives a good clean line with the suede material that means I can dress it down perfectly. I also love the outside pockets for my cell phone and keys - the two items I can never find.

This is one of those cute purses that my daughter and I fight over. The outside is so sassy that it can serve for day or night. It has little details that give it some Southern kick to it and inside... it has a red and white lining that makes opening it as fun as closing it.

Now, the only problem of course is that my daughter and I do fight over it. But since I paid for it it's technically mine, if I can find it at the bottom of her clothes pile.




I guess that makes this a cute purse for anyone.

I love unique cute purses but I am a sucker for the classics. There are some purses in my collection that I can grab to use with anything. This particular purse will be used with a classic black dress, tan flats and some chunky turquoise jewelry for a casual chic look. It will look just as good with a pair of bermuda shorts, t-shirt and flip flops for errands with the kids. Lunch with the girls in a tan skirt, crisp white top and leopard print pumps?

The possibilities are endless. As a bonus, this is one of those bags that will only look better as it ages. It is 100% leather and I'm in love with the wide zipper that allows easy access to the contents inside (a pet peeve of mine is to not be able to access my stuff).




Look at that leather. It's down right yummy. I'm not sure if this bag qualifies under cute purses or classic must have, but who am I to argue with perfection?

In my search for cute purses my daughter found this little gem. A couple of years back my friend found a purse like this while on vacation. She has coveted it ever since. Their prices range from $59.00 to $140.00 which depends on the style, not the state.

Being a native Californian we chose this one for display, but will probably end up with one of the more colorful states:




It has the greatest bottle cap closure that just adds to the fun.

I'm not sure this qualifies under cute purses but this beautiful leather bag has fall and winter written all over it. I love it's versatility. I can bring this to a business appointment as easily as I could tote it around with jeans. You'll find that that is one of the most important factors I look for is adaptability. I very often go from client's house to my kids' sporting events with about 32 seconds in between to change. Being able to bring the same bag to both is crucial.

Now I'm not so sure about this one with shorts but as the cooler weather approaches this color and texture calls out to sweaters, tights wool skirts and sleek pants. How about a pair of jeans (a must in my wardrobe) with any long sleeve top? A black dress with camel colored boots and this reddish brown weave.




I'm thinking that this is a must have for fall and winter regardless of the outfit!

Just take a look at those hearts and the red white and blue theme and tell me this isn't exactly what you think of when I say 'cute purses'. This has my daughter written all over it. And instead of being a cheesy American logo, it is cheesy Japanese!

Made of 100% cotton canvas, it's the perfect bag to get some abuse at high school. And it's funky and unique enough to get noticed in a good way. As a bonus, I found it on sale right now. Score!

When it comes to cute purses, I love color. My clothes are typically tailored, simple, few patterns. I'm not a boring person though so I like to spice it up a bit when it comes to my accessories.

And yet my picks always have clean lines and some element of practicality even if they are sunshine yellow. With that said, I have to admit that even I need a basic black handbag from time to time.

When I found this bag I ordered it right away (although mine has green interior - couldn't go all black, just couldn't do it). The purse is so basic and structured that the line across the top is almost shocking in contrast.

I get so many compliments on this little black bag it's unbelievable. And because it has textured leather, it works just as well with slacks or skirts for business as it does with jeans (boots or heels are mandatory though because of its structure).




It's just one of those cute purses that leaves you wondering why you didn't order two!

My daughter loves cute purses, especially big chunky bags. Since she started high school she no longer carries a backpack. She holds a giant binder and then shoves everything else in her purse, lunch, books, lip gloss. Evidently it's way cooler to carry a handbag then be practical about things. Sorry, mom of a teenage girl here.

Anyhow, when she saw this bag she had to have it. It is substantially less than the Juicy Couture ones she's been begging for and I know that with the neutral color it will be used regularly.

Will my daughter use this at least 10 times this year? Without a doubt! It's a bargain at that and a cute purse for her wardrobe all year long.
