How to Cut Hair at Home
With the economy going from bad to worse, many parents are wondering if they could save money by cutting kids' hair themselves at home. This is entirely possible!
I cut my daughter's hair and it turned out very cute! There is a technique to it, and you need some good haircutting scissors. You can learn how to do this. It is not very difficult.
I had some decent haircutting scissors and a plastic comb, and some hair clips. I followed instructions on You Tube videos to learn what to do. She is happy with the results and I think I can save about $100.00 a year cutting her hair myself at home.
In this lens I will explore the techniques for cutting kids' hair and tools needed to do the job.

Hair Cutting Capes and Dusters
To keep things nice and tidy when you are cutting kids' hair, you may want to invest in a hair cutting cape and a neck duster. You can use a towel for both jobs, but you will have more hair clippings to clean up after the hair cut. These items just make the hair cut neater and the clean up a bit easier.

- My children are grown and get their hair cut professionally. I only trimmed their hair every once in awhile because I wasn't so good at it. I think it's great if you can do this yourself to save money!

- Mom always cut our hair when we were little. I have the photos of me with crooked bangs to prove it. Actually it worked fine and with 5 girls it would have been quite expensive taking us all to a beauty salon.
Maybe if they had YouTube videos back in the 1950s, my haircuts would have turned out better.
