C. Vivian Stringer

C. Vivian Stringer has had a long, successful, and distinguished career as an NCAA Women's head basketball coach.  Before becoming head coach of the women's team at powerhouse Rutgers, she built up the strength of the women's basketball program at The University of Iowa, and Cheyney State College.

Whenever her Rutgers women play at Carver Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, the fans of The University of Iowa always give Coach Stringer a warm welcome back to Hawkeye territory.

Coach Stringer is a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, and is the only coach in NCAA women's history to have led women's teams from three different colleges to the Final Four.
