Thanks Suzanne. I have had a bit of experience in dating online using sites such as date.com, yahoo personals and match.com. Of the three I liked match.com the best. I have found some wonderful women using match.com. Don't think for a minute that there aren't quality people using online dating services.

OK, for a couple of tips here.

1. Spend time on your profile adding a good amount of text and photos.

2. Show as many of your interests as possible without overdoing it.

3. Don't be too aggresive going after women. I have had more success with letting the women contact me first.

4. After the first contact, pm and email each other for a while then ask if you can talk to them on the phone. Give them your number.

5. After you have talked for a while, I suggest going to meet at a coffee place just to meet for just a short time. If you get along you make a date, if not, it's was just a half an hour you spent finding out.

Of course, sometimes you get along so well online and on the phone it is natural to have a big wonderful first date. Every relationship is different.
