Cynosport World Games

On November 11-15, 2009, Scottsdale, Arizona went to the dogs, as the Cynosport World Games '09 will rolled into town. With agility, flyball, disc dog, dock jumping and more, the country's elite canine athletes battled it out for the title of top dog in their sport. Want to know more? What's it all about! 

If you are a dog lover, you'll love Cynosport, wh you can see the best of the best in the dog athlete world. Fast, furious and fun!

At this year games there was lots of dog agility, dock jumping, flyball, go to ground, canine musical freestyles, herding, rally-o, course-a-lure and loads more. And there were many exhibitors and vendors selling loads of really great stuff! And lots of demonstrations and exhibitions and opportunities to try many of the activities with your dog.

The Road to Cynosport '09! 

Qualifying events for the 2009 tournament season began September 18, 2008 and run through September 17, 2009.

The Agility Premium for the USDAA Cynosports Games is up on the website under the Event Calendar. The closing date is September 24th. Judges will be Scott Chamberlain, Martin Gadsby, Peggy Hammond and Tammi McClung.

Paws for Reflection had a very successful APDT Rally Obedience Trial as part of the 2008 Cynosport World Games. There were over 30 teams participating in this three-day event and every team qualified in their class at least once. Read the results.

Dog Agility!
Dog agility is one of the fastest growing sports! And at the Cynosport World Games you can see the best of the best!

Competition will include the Grand Prix of Dog Agility® World Championships, the $10,000 Dog Agility Steeplechase® and the Dog Agility Masters® International Three-Dog Championship.

And for the Performance level competition will include the Performance National Standard Championships, Performance Speed Jumping Championships, and the Performance Versatility Pairs Championships.

Flyball
The Cynosport World Flyball Championships will be held at the Cynosport World Games, with preliminaries, leading to Sunday's Championship Finals.

Rules for the North American Flyball Association (NAFA) have been adopted for the tournament, and NAFA will be the chief organizer of this event.

Dock Jumping
Dock jumping is sweeping the nation, and will be a highlight of the Cynosport World Games. The SplashDogs World Championship will be held at Cynosport, with regular dock jumping events held on three days prior.
