I confess, you made me cry. I miss my Dad so much and they sound like similar men, except Dad was for Kennedy. About six months after my dad died, mom called in a panic that she could not really remember the sound of his voice. After quite a search, I found a short movie clip of sound for her. Old home movies were not talkies. Yes, record them.
    This is so beautiful.

Margo...This lens really touched me. I lost my dad in November of 2007. We were never really close, but he sure took good care of me and mom, and I miss him greatly. 5*s.

Margo, quite a touching and sensitive lens that is a lovely tribute to your dad and other dads who persevered to support their families financially and with love! The printing industry was and still is a tough profession. Kudos my dear!

A lovely father's day tribute long before father's day.

What a beautiful tribute to your dad! One of my favorite quotes is "Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a dad!" I am so thankful for the dads in my own life, my dad, my husband as dad to our children, and watching our son be "super dad".

Thanks for that story. I am sorry he had to go through that, but he made good use of it. A good man!

"The little blond in his lap suddenly died." What a tender story. I was very touched. My grandfather lost his own child at the age of 4 to pneumonia. He said, "Something very serious happened when I lost my son, Lot. He was my life." My grandfather made a vow to become a better person after that. He started going to church with his wife and he threw away his cigarettes. The death of his son changed him.

What a beautiful tribute. I never knew my father so I envy what you have. My mother, uncles and older brothers filled in the gap but its not the same. Girls need their fathers.
    Beautiful, beautiful lens.

My Dad is my hero too! And my husband is a hero to his girls and both his step children - one day I will make a lens about both of them. Looks like you need to make a lens about your friend Rose as well.
