Happy April Fool's Day! I love daffodils almost as much as I love pansies. I have grown double white daffodils in the past the reminded me of gardenias they were so full. You have some beautiful photos! I have Squid liked your lens, joined your fan club, and I'm leaving you with a Fool's Day Blessing (no April Fool's prank here). This lens has also been added as a featured lens on My Squid Angel Wings blessing lens too. Look for it in the April Fool's Day section for the "Home & Garden" neighborhood.

I love daffodils! they're one of my favorite signs of spring:-)
  • Sylvestermouse Sep 8, 2010 @ 10:13 pm | delete
Daffodils are some of my favorites. They seem to announce the arrival of spring. Unfortunately, winter isn't always ready to give up and it will often jump back for just a few days and kill a lot of my early bloomers. Beautiful lens!
  • CDT Sep 1, 2010 @ 6:02 pm | delete
Daffodils are my favourite flower...teir glorious colour can brighten up even the dullest day - the world needs more daffodils!

Daffodils are the national flower of Wales and we're just seeing the last swathes of golden glory. The freezing winter caused them to be late this year.

    Lovely lens. Blessed :-)

    Hi,
I am a daffodil collector from australia. You have a few varieties that I do not recognise, particularly raspberry ring and galactic star (stunning). It is our planting season here now, with our seasons being reversed to ours. Are you aware of any growers that would stock these varieties down under?
Warm regards for a beautiful spring time...
  • whitemoss Mar 6, 2010 @ 4:41 am | delete

There are varieties here I've never seen. Just beautiful! We used to live on a farm where there was an entire hillside covered with daffodils. It was such a treat each spring, when that hill turned into a blanket of yellow, white and orange.

I think daffodils are my fave spring flowers, I love their scent. My garden is covered with them, every time I see daffodil bulbs on sale I buy more. My faves are the vintage ones I think it's called Pesants Eye or something like that, its a white single with a tiny red center, and the fragrance is stroger than any other type I've ever smelt, but they only blossom about once every four years. I have some that had belonged to my grandmother over 70 years ago, but they are still blooming in my garden all these years later.
  • Help4You Feb 29, 2008 @ 5:12 pm | delete

Beautiful! I love bulbs! I had some pretty Daffodils last year and I always get some pretty Dutch Irises. I live in a really hot climate, so they can be a bit of work, though.
