Why Dairy Free Easter Eggs?
Lactose Free Easter
In addition to lactose intolerance, there are also people who choose to live a vegan lifestyle. Dietary vegans refrain from consuming any product or byproduct of animals. This is includes a lot of dairy products such as milk, cheese, yogurt, butter and also eggs. Since a lot of chocolates are made with dairy, many vegans opt for dairy free chocolates and candies.
You also have milk allergies which are caused by the dozens of proteins present in milk; one of which is alpha C1-caesin. People who are allergic to certain foods have no choice but to stay away if they want to avoid serious gastrointestinal, respiratory or dermatological symptoms. The effects of dairy in their system can be very health hazardous and sometimes even fatal. This condition would be considered worse than lactose intolerance on many levels.

Many Easter eggs are made of the milk chocolate variety. Milk chocolate is the sweeter version of chocolate that usually contains milk powder or condensed milk, thus making it unsuitable for people who are abstaining from dairy. Fortunately there are many alternatives to milk chocolate that are just as delicious.
Dark chocolate sometimes only contains traces of milk, if any. But it wouldn't be recommended for people with milk allergies. Otherwise, it's a good alternative to milk chocolate. You can also find chocolate products made with any of the following milk substitutes: rice milk, coconut milk, almond milk, cashew nut milk, oats milk, soy milk or potato milk. These make for great dairy free Easter eggs that anyone can eat.
Whether it's because of health conditions, special diets or lifestyle, people can still enjoy Easter with dairy free Easter eggs. They're safe to consume and just as delicious.

- Now why haven't I thought of making my own eggs? Commercial eggs are such a rip-off. You might just have the honour of enticing me to buy from an article for the very first time. I bet this is a boon for people who can't eat dairy products too.
