Some Art for Daisy Lovers...

This lens features floral photography by Cheryl Rogers. Most of the photos on this page feature the Gerbera Daisy, an easy-to-grow daisy in Central Florida, where I live. It gets a bit beat up when temperatures dip into the 30s, but I cover them and they recover ... The lavendar ones pictured here, however, are not Gerberas. I got them in a floral bouquet.

This lens gives you lots of options when shopping for daisy art. Buy daisies as photo downloads, fine art on canvas, posters, cards, and more! Or grow your own with the tips on this lens!

Growing Daisies

If you are a daisy lover, chances are you want to grow your own. The good news is they don't require a green thumb!

I have several Gerbera Daisies planted around the perimeter of my rose garden and they do well most months of the year -- everything from 40 degrees to 90+ degrees. During the winter months, I put little blankets on them when temperatures dip into the 30s. It takes awhile for them to recover their beauty, but do just fine.

Gerbera daisies do like fertilizer, especially in sandy soil like mine. Like roses, you must expect to fertilize if you want blooms ... But when you do fertilize, you can expect a long-lasting bloom that looks great outside in the garden or inside in a vase.

I've been looking through your photo lenses and they all have such pretty photos. Though they have many pretty things for sale, I appreciate the instructions on how to grow, etc., and any personal information added is always special too! Blessed as part of the April Fools Angel Quest. Stepping away from my usual category to visit wildlife and nature photos today, I love the outdoors, but you'll find this page featured on my Diet and Nutrition Angel page, look for "April Fools" link along the top:-)
