This lens features floral photography by Cheryl Rogers. Most of the photos on this page feature the Gerbera Daisy, an easy-to-grow daisy in Central Florida, where I live. It gets a bit beat up when temperatures dip into the 30s, but I cover them and they recover ... The lavendar ones pictured here, however, are not Gerberas. I got them in a floral bouquet.

Growing Daisies
If you are a daisy lover, chances are you want to grow your own. The good news is they don't require a green thumb!I have several Gerbera Daisies planted around the perimeter of my rose garden and they do well most months of the year -- everything from 40 degrees to 90+ degrees. They do like fertilizer, especially in sandy soil like mine. Like roses, you must expect to fertilize if you want blooms ... But when you do, you can expect a long-lasting bloom that looks great outside in the garden or inside in a vase.
