Too Many Impostors Dressed as Santa Claus and His Sinful Elves
Great photo op for me. I got excited, thinking about the Christmas pictures I could post for sale on my website, Deborah Julian Photography.
After shooting a few and absorbing as much fun in the cold as I could, we walked on toward Union Square, passing what seemed an endless parade of Santas. Then, on University, I saw something that stopped me in my tracks: A Christmas elf like no other.
Pacing forlornly and utterly alone was an obviously pregnant Santa, her belly large and her head bowed.
Where, I wondered, were those irresponsible Santa Claus elves?

The parade, at first, seemed just plain fun. Eccentric costumes marched along with the more conventional, all in a spirit of fun.
The Santas were having fun, and those of us lucky enough to catch them were enjoying it. It just went on and on, fairly disorganized, with every version of Santa you could imagine, block after block.

Then, I saw something I will never forget.
There was a Santa, obviously large with child, walking as forlornly as anyone in all of New York City. She was completely alone. Where were those irresponsible Santa Claus elves?

An Update Concerning the Santa Claus Elves
Mrs. Frosty T. Snowman shops Victoria's Secret
Whatever became of wholesome family lives? How much did Mrs. Snowman have to do with corrupting the Christmas elves?
Am I wrong in thinking that Mrs. Snowman ought to be home sewing socks or something, not shopping for frilly undies?

The busy Christmas Season has passed, but we're still here with gift ideas for whatever season we are in.Thank you for checking out what I have to offer and for buying or just commenting. It's all appreciated.
Oh, and by the way, in spite of being busy, I was concerned enough about the condition of the Claus family, as you have seen here, that I recruited replacements, just in case. I know they don't look like much, but I was rushed.
In the meantime, enjoy a hot chocolate. (And a warm winter laugh!)

- What a hoot! I think store and mall Santa's are very creepy actually...you just don't know whose lap your letting your kids sit on.
On another note, some of the local wanderers and street folks here in Albuquerque have taken to wearing Santa hats. Not sure where they are getting them.
