Uk Punk never had it so good

The Damned were the first punk band from England to release a single, New Rose,
The Damned were the first punk band from England to release an album, Damned Damned Damned.
The Damned were the first punk band from England to tour the United States.
The Damned were the first punk band from England to evolve into goth rock and they became a major influence on the music of the goth genre and on the style & fashion.
And the Damned are one of the few punk bands from England to still tour regularly and produce new music.

Never taking themselves too seriously the Damned rock!
Though primarily a live band they have made some top singles over the years and this is the current total of their official Single releases to date.

There are roughly 3 ages to the Damned, mind, were talking serious generalising.
The Punk years , mainly with Stiff, Full on brit punk at its , fun, loud, envigourating best!

The Goth years, mainly with MCA. A difficult time as pubicity was high and they began to get a lot more main stream attention ...but MCA were in control and ... those videos *shrugs* Fortunatly the songs were great enough to combat that.

The coming of age. Might not be attracting big name record companies but by now the music and the guys have matured and understand what its all about. The music is very sure of itself, the song writing is hooktastic and the live shows are phenominal..if you get them on a good day!
