Dance on Broadway for WII brings Exergaming to the entire family
Dance on Broadway for Nintendo WII by UbiSoft was released almost a year ago today. As with all video games, this release date may be subject to change. The release date changes are one of the most frustrating things that I can think about in the video game industry, but that's a rant for another date and time. You're here to read more about Dance on Broadway for Nintendo WII and not listen to me rant and rave.

Dance on Broadway Nintendo WII
Dance on Broadway for Nintendo WII is very similar to Just Dance. Instead of pop music to dance and sing along to, UbiSoft has used Broadway hits. If you are expecting a real innovative, unique game, this is not the right title for you.
In order to play this game, the only thing you need is a WII remote, which makes this a perfect starter game if you are interested in starting to play games like dance dance revolutions either to get yourself in shape or for a reason to get off of the couch.
Single player mode allows you to challenge yourself to see if you can sing and dance perfect and dual player mode will let you play against your friends and sing duets. Of course, if you are not a great singer you may want to give your family and pets earplugs so they can avoid the torture. Better yet, get another WII Remote and let them play along.

Dance on Broadway WII Review
Dance on Broadway is basically Just Dance for WII with Broadway music. While it's not as intense as Just Dance, it's a great entrance into the genre for a beginner, especially if you enjoy Broadway music. While the entire song list is drawn from Broadway shows, I would have liked to have seen a mixture of songs from some modern shows added to the mix. Unfortunately, one of my favorite shows would not have been allowed without giving this game a rating of at least "T for Teen".
If you are new to the exergaming genre of video games, then this one could be right for you. The songs aren't quite as strenuous as the ones that it's predecessor brings to the table, but it's enough to get you up out of your chair and moving.
This game is also a great game to get out at a party. Since the moves aren't real difficult, no one can use the excuse that it's just too hard to do. In multi-player mode there are often multiple parts for different players to move along with allowing you to put on your own little Broadway show in your living room.
Anyways, the biggest complaint about this game is the lack of control and accuracy of the WII picking up the moves that a player makes. It is a little bit better than Just Dance, but it's still just not quite there yet. Also, the dance moves tend to be jerky and the camera pans around the stage a lot so it's difficult to watch your character's moves in order to get it right.
One final complaint is the game is just way too easy and it seems as if there's no competition. You can't keep track of your scores and all of the levels are unlocked from the minute you insert the game disc into your WII.
Overall, if you are looking for a dancing game that isn't too difficult for people of all ages to play, then Dance on Broadway could be right for you. If you are looking for more of a challenge, then you may want to look into Just Dance 2.

I'm surprised that no one is preselling this game yet. Unfortunately, the fact that no one preselling is a good sign that the release date may be delayed.
As soon as there are games available, they will show up here.
