And so we look forward to season 14. The cast will be announced on Tuesday, February 28 on Good Morning America. "Biggest stars yet" says Robin Roberts. The show kicks off on March 19, 2012 (the first results show a week later) and there are already rumors swirling:
- E! News host Giuliana Rancic is apparently on the producers' wishlist
- Supermodel Bar Refaeli has been offered a spot but may be too busy
- Real housewife, Taylor Armstrong, is rumored to be on the producers' dream list
- Also on the alleged dream-list is TV cook, Paula Deen
- Kris Jenner, matriarch of the Kardashians, is rumored to be in negotiations to follow her daughter and son onto the show
- Legendary singer Steve Wonder told Ellen on her show that he was getting fit to go on DWTS.
- Sig Hansen captain of the Northwestern on Deadliest Cast has stated he will be appearing in season 14
- there are also a number of internet campaigns started by fans including Jackée Harry (of "Sister Sister"), Marina Sirtis (of Start Trek:TNG), Greg Louganis (Olympic diver) and Beth Chapman (Dog's wife)
On the professionals front Derek Hough and Cheryl Burke have confirmed they will be returning and Maks has said he would like to.

Carrie Ann Inaba
Carrie Ann is a former professional dancer turned choreographer and director in the television and film industry. She has choreographed numerous televised events, including American Idol Christmas 2003, Miss America 1998 2001 and 2003, All American Girl 2003 and Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire, among many others. She has acted and danced in such films and television series as In Living Color, Showgirls and Flintstones 2: Viva Rock Vegas!, and had featured roles in Austin Powers II & III, Monster Mash and Freak.Inaba has toured with Madonna (The Girlie Show International Tour) and twice with Ricky Martin (Living La Vida Loca Promo Tour and Shake Your Bon Bon).
Inaba is also skilled in hula, videography, editing, singing, martial arts and Japanese.
Len Goodman
Len Goodman has been a head judge on Strictly Come Dancing, the original UK version of Dancing with the Stars. He was a professional dancer and dance teacher, and now runs his own successful dance school in Kent, England, where he resides.Having performed his entire adult life, specializing in the form of Ballroom called Exhibition dancing, Goodman has won the British Exhibition four times and was the runner up in the Exhibition World Championships. He has also been awarded the British Rising Star Award, the Carl Allen Award and, most recently, a Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition he is an accomplished judge of Latin American and Ballroom professional dance competition, serving as a regular at the World and British Championships.
Bruno Tonioli
Bruno Tonioli has been a popular judge on all seasons of Strictly Come Dancing, the UK version of Dancing with the Stars, as well as a guest judge on the Australian version. He is a top choreographer and has worked on countless films, plays, music videos, commercials, concerts, trade shows and television series with such music icons as Elton John, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Tina Turner and Paul McCartney. He recently created Dance X, a reality competition looking for the next sensational new dancing and singing group in the UK. Bruno is a mentor and coach on the show and is looking forward to bringing it to the US later this year.Tonioli started out as a dancer before moving on to become a successful choreographer. He has worked on such films as Ella Enchanted, What a Girl Wants, Enigma and Blow Dry. His long list of music video credits includes Sheena Easton's Giving Up, Giving In, Wycliffe & Bono's New Day United Nations Video for Kosovo, Elton John's Please, Sting's This Cowboy Song, Michael Jackson's Give in to Me, Tina Turner's Steamy Windows, The Rolling Stones' One Hit, Paul McCartney's Hope of Deliverance and many more. Among his numerous concert credits are Tina Turner's Foreign Affairs and Duran Duran's World Tour. He also works in theatre and television.

How to Get Eliminated from Dancing With The Stars
A description of the scoring system from ABC.com
Each week every couple receives points from the judges and votes from the public. For every couple we work out the share they got of the points given by the judges on the night, and the share they got of the public's votes on the night and we add these two shares together. The couple with the lowest combined total is eliminated from the show.You can vote either by phone, text (if you are an AT&T subscriber, or on the web at ABC.com. Details of the phone numbers and a more detailed explanation of the scoring system can be found here.
For example if couples A, B and C receive 38, 26 and 14 points from the judges, we calculate what share these points represent of the total awarded by the judges on the night. In this case the judges gave 78 points in total, and each couples' share of 78 points breaks down as follows: 38= 48.72% of 78, 26= 33.33% of 78, 14= 17.95% of 78. Let's suppose that when the public votes are tallied, each couple has the following shares: A= 20%, B=40%, C=40%. To determine who's eliminated we combine these two shares for the total:
Couple A: 20+48.72%= 68.72%
Couple B: 40+33.33%= 73.33%
Couple C: 40+17.95%= 57.95%
In this case, the bottom two couples would be A and C, and C would be eliminated.

The Hosts
Tom Bergeron
Emmy Award winning host Tom Bergeron began his broadcasting career in 1972 in his hometown of Haverhill, MA. Despite ample evidence that Bergeron was 17 at the time, he now insists there has been a terrible mistake."Must be some other guy," Bergeron declared. "I'm only 35." After a grimace from his manager, Bergeron continued. "No, wait, 33. Yeah, that's it. I'm prematurely gray!"
Bergeron spent over a decade with WBZ TV in Boston, hosting a number of popular shows. According to his revised math, he apparently did this while also attending grade school.
In 1994 he became host of Breakfast Time on fX. This was before the cable channel was successful enough to afford the upper case F they now use. The show morphed into Fox After Breakfast and moved to the FOX network, where the use of all upper case letters offered little consolation. The show was canceled after one season.
Deftly dodging unemployment, Bergeron became fill in anchor on Good Morning America in 1997, a position he held until segueing to Hollywood Squares in 1998. At this point, Edward R. Murrow could be heard spinning in his grave.
While hosting Hollywood Squares, Bergeron multi tasked his way into a fill in anchor gig on CBS' The Early Show (more spinning) and also began hosting ABC's America's Funniest Home Videos. At present NBC still won't return his calls.
Brooke Burke
Television personality and new co-host of Dancing with the Stars, Brooke Burke won the hearts and votes of America when she became the show's Season Seven Champion with her dance partner, Derek Hough.Most recently, Brooke has been working as the new host of TV Land's hit reality competition series She's Got the Look. The busy mother of four can also be seen as the new "Mommy Correspondent" on the nationally syndicated hit daytime talk show The Doctors. Brooke serves as a liaison between mothers everywhere and the esteemed panel of doctors.
Recognized worldwide as host of the hit travel series Wild On!, Brooke has since hosted several high profile network series, including Rock Star: INXS and Rock Star: Supernova. On the acting front, she has guest starred on such television series as Las Vegas, Less than Perfect, Eve, It's All Relative, The Bernie Mac Show, Monk, Rock Me Baby and That's Life.
Brooke is a mother of four and recently launched her own baby store, BabooshBaby.com, a site where she shares her secrets (and some products she used) to get back in shape after giving birth. She has graced numerous magazine covers, has top-selling swimsuit calendars and is regularly ranked in men's magazines as one of the sexiest women in the world today. With over 1.7 million Twitter followers and growing daily, Brooke has quickly made a name for herself as a trusted resource in the world of motherhood and the social media network. She recently became CEO of ModernMom.com, an online community for the woman behind the mom.
