What other plant can bring so much joy to young ones on a summer's day?
It is just an old weed but it is so much more
Bringing pleasure to many while others abhor
Dandelion, I thank you for being you

- Dandelions where always the first fresh vegetables we had to eat in the spring. I remember picking bouquets of dandelions for my mom when I was a little girl and blowing the seeds in the wind once they had gone by and turned into balls of fluff. My grandmas used to call them weeds but I like the look of a yard full of yellow dandelion blossoms.

- In Scotland we called Dandelions "pee the beds." Absolutely no idea why? Seeing closeup photographs they look quite lovely.

- I have memories picking dandelions then blowing the seeds everywhere. It was fun even if I did get in trouble because of all the new dandelions coming up later. My aunt called them "weeds".
