Daniel Pollera's Art: Bring On The Calm!
Do you live where you see nothing all day but cars, sidewalks, strip malls and such? I do, and I get this urge deep inside telling me that I need to connect with nature again. It's a yearning that feels like sadness; my body and spirit grieve for a serene and peaceful place.
Some paintings intensify this need for a change. When I look at a particular artist's artwork, I'll know just how badly I need to get away by how deeply it evokes that yearning. Like in the work of Daniel Pollera: I want to BE in his paintings!
Below, displayed for your viewing pleasure are some of my favorite Daniel Pollera works. Perhaps you'll see what I mean. Pollera is a self-taught artist; he paints so realistically that his work looks almost like photographs! I love this scenery!

- Love Pollera artwork, I can almost hear the ocean looking at these. When / if I retire, I'd love to live by the water and sit in one of those chairs (hammock, more likely) and just 'be.'

- Simple, elegant and reflective of happy times the pics here remind me of my youth when visions like these were the norm around homes. Nice work.

- I love Serenity!! My neighbors had the print hanging in their house since I've known them. They redecorated and gave me the print. I started a new job with a new office and it is hanging on the wall. I tell people, "That is the reason for working. I want to be wherever that is."

- I have seen some super realistic works before. Some of them are more real than reality. As every art really should be. Thanks for sharing his photos!

- Wow!! I love them all! I wish I could magically transport myself into each of his pictures for about 15 minutes in each! Wouldn't that be neat?
