Danny Elfman is one of todays most in-demand film composers, frequently working with director Tim Burton, for whom he's composed Batman, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. He emerged from popular LA band Oingo Boingo whose hits include "Weird Science" and "Dead Man's Party". Danny hasĀ also written memorable opening themes for TV shows such as The Simpsons, Desperate Housewives, and Tales from the Crypt.
Recently Danny Elfman's first symphonic work Serenada Schizophrana has been a success on the classical charts. His latest films include Charlotte's Web, the Disney/Pixar animated Meet the Robinsons, and The Kingdom produced by Michael Mann.

Dark, brooding, and thrilling masterpiece by Elfman for Tim Burton's Batman film, featuring Danny's definitive Batman theme. Must have. The first Elfman album I ever bought in 1989, I even still have that first cassette.
Danny at his best, a unique, witty, creative, and beautiful film score full of great songs and magical music. Phoenix Film Critics' choice for Best Score of 2005.
Danny's first major film score, and first time working for Tim Burton, a partnership that's lasted over twenty years. Also contains Danny's music from Back to School starring Rodney Dangerfield.

Exciting rhythms and complex percussion. Very compelling main titles. I really liked this more listening to the album rather than going by what I thought it did for the film.
