About Dan Stein
Dan Stein joined FAIR in 1982 and began leading the organization in 1988. Previous to this time he served as the executive director of the Immigration Reform Law Institute, a non-profit, public interest law firm working toward the control of illegal immigration, and he remains on the board of directors.Dan's legal experience extends from private practice an on to congressional staff, and he has testified before congress on more than 50 occasions. As a writer he has written and contributed articles to both scholarly journals and the popular press. As a pundit he has appeared on numerous TV and radio talk show programs in the United States.

Dan Stein is the president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization. FAIR advocates for reforms of U.S. immigration policies that would result in significant immigration reduction. Stein started leading FAIR in 1988, as its executive director.
