Halloween Costume Idea
I have always loved makeup! I have always loved fairies and I have always loved the Goth culture. So last Halloween (2009) I decided to dress up and attend an Artist Halloween Party! Very long story short-my husband is not the type to dress up, I wanted to attend this party to get to know other artist in my area AND the night turned out nothing like I had planned EXCEPT for the makeup turning out to be the way I wanted.
I actually wrote a lens about the costume but deleted it and all of the pictures except for a few my husband took. I had so much fun putting this outfit together and I only did one test run on the makeup. Watching the videos helps a lot, but allowing your creativity to emerge is what brings a Halloween Costume together. So let's start with the eye makeup because that is a lot of work and well worth the trouble!

Bloodletting (Concrete Blonde)

Eye Makeup
Here is a list of items you will need:Black liner and black eye pencil
Silver or whatever color you like sparkling eyeliner
Bright colored eyeshadow (I used this sparkle blue)
Black eyeshadow
False eyelash adhesive
Small gems (craft section in local stores)
Light foundation (Since I am sort of fair skinned anyway, I just added a little manic white to my own foundation)
Body Glitter (Gotta have those sparkles)
Black Lipstick: (Always put powder on your lips before the color, it will help it to last longer. I wrote an article here: How to line your lips if you are looking for general lip tips!
I used my black eye pencil and put a little gloss over it. I hate lipstick smearing all over the place so I am real picky about my lipstick. To the point years ago I wrote an article about lipstick and it was published in Deadly Nightshade back in 1998. I posted the article here: Tales from my Gothic Days Since that article though, I have learned a lot more.

Making Fairy Wings
This was very similar to how I made mine; except I used duck tape to keep the sections together and wrapped black ribbon around them. I also used black panty hose and drew spider webs from the corner to the middle.
