Built For Life

We are built for Life.
Live Loud, Live Full,
Do good, Make A Difference,
Do Not Lie, even if it cost you,
Respect yourself, and others will respect you,
Understand yourself, and others will understand you.
Be enthusiastic, it is a sign of spiritual health.
Do something that will make your heart dance,
And if you can't, then do something for somebody else.
Do not worry about your limits, You Have None.
Do not think Life Is Impossible, Nothing Is.
Do not think the dark night never ends, It always does.

We love too little, and hate too much.
We talk too much, and listen too little.
We have more conveniences, but less time.
We have more knowledge, but poorer judgement.
We have added years to life, but not life to years.
2000 years of civilization, 2 world wars,
Countless conflicts over territories, religious beliefs, and the colour of our skin.
Broken marriages, broken homes,
Millions of neglected and abused children.

But know this, Life ask of every one a contribution,
What you chose to do or say today, determines your Life.
We pass this way but once, Let us make a difference now.
Many of the things we need can wait,
The child, the weak, the sick and the lonely cannot.
To them we cannot say tomorrow, their time is now.
Now is when we stand and say, Yes, count me in.
Let me do it now, I live my Life but once,
Let me Live today, for I do not live forever.

For The Others

Do A Little More For The Others Around You

1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
2. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
3. When you say, 'I love you,' mean it.
4. When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye.
5. Never laugh at person's dream. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
6. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
7. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
8. Don't judge people by their relatives.
9. Talk slowly but think quickly.
10. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, 'Why do you want to know?'
11. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
12.Say 'God bless you' when you hear someone sneeze.
13. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
14. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
15. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
16. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
17. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.
18. Spend some time alone

A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

Life Should Be Like This

Looking at those you love in a new light

1) Laid back when you feel a need for it.
2) Give a call to your friends once in a while.
3) Always smile to your man.
4) Go to a hair saloon, it makes you look like a million bucks.
5) Just by hanging around, you make a house a home.

Life And Tequila

If life gives you a lemon, ask for Tequila and Salt

You may not realized this but this is absolutely true.

1. In this life, there are at least 2 people you would give everything for.
2. At least 10 people in this life loves you.
3. The only reason why anyone would ever hate you is because you are everything they are not.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone.
5. Every night, someone thinks of you before they sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. When you make your biggest mistake ever, some good will come from it.
8. When you think life has turned its back on you, take another look.
9. You are special and unique, someone you don't even know loves you.
10. Good friends are like stars, you don't see them sometimes, but they are always there.

Happiness makes you kind,
Trials make you strong,
Sorrows make you human,
Failures make you humble,
Success makes you grow,
And Love keeps you going.

Friends And Friendships

A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest.
A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself.

A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party.
A real friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean.

A simple friend has never seen you cry.
A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.

A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names.
A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.

A simple friend hates it when you call after they've gone to bed.
A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.

A simple friend expects you to always be there for them.
A real friend expects to always be there for you!

A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A real friend calls you after you had a fight.

A simple friend wonders about your romantic history.
A real friend knows enough to blackmail you with it.

Touched My Heart

The Fool by Patrick Henry Pearce

Since the wise men have not spoken,
I speak that am only a fool;
A fool that hath loved his folly,
Yea, more than the wise men their books
or their counting houses
or their quiet homes,
Or their fame in men's mouths;
A fool that in all his days hath done never a prudent thing....

Never hath counted the cost,
nor reckoned if another reaped
The fruit of his mighty sowing,
content to scatter the seed;
A fool that is unrepentant,
and that soon at the end of all
Shall laugh in his lonely heart
as the ripe ears fall to the reaping-hooks
And the poor are filled that were empty,
Tho' he go hungry.

I have squandered the splendid years
that the Lord God gave to my youth
In attempting impossible things,
deeming them alone worth the toil.
Lord, if I had the years
I would squander them over again,
Aye, fling them from me!
For this I have heard in my heart,
that a man shall scatter, not hoard,
Shall do the deed of to-day,
nor take thought of to-morrow's teen,
Shall not bargain or huckster with God...

The lawyers have sat in council,
the men with the keen, long faces,
And said, `This man is a fool,'
and others have said, `He blasphemeth;'
And the wise have pitied the fool
that hath striven to give a life
In the world of time and space
among the bulks of actual things,
To a dream that was dreamed in the heart,
and that only the heart could hold.

You Are Perfect

Braude's Source Book For Speakers & Writers

When you think that you've made no difference in your life, when the going seems all uphill; there will always be someone in this world who thinks you're perfect. Who thinks that what you have done and what you continue to do, makes the world a better place.
Whoever you are, there is some younger person who thinks you are perfect. There is some work that will never be done if you don't do it. There is someone who would miss you if you were gone. There is a place that you alone can fill. - Jacob M. Braude

The mistakes of yesterday or even today does not matter. What matters is that you stay in the fight, and one day your time will come. And others will stand tall because of what you have done.
