Data Recovery Software & Tools

I am here to solve your all data recovery related problems through this lens, I am trying to cover all possible scenario of data loss from various reasons like- accidental formation of hard disk, data loss due to electricity, data loss from windows partition. I will provide the Data Recovery Related Information and Tips to recover the data from various operation system like-windows 7, windows vista, windows xp.. etc.

Resolving Windows Vista Startup Error "The file is possibly corrupt..."

Resolving Windows Vista Startup Error

Sometimes, when you try to boot your Windows Vista based system, you encounter an error message either at the time of startup or after the logo page. This error message can be a result of various factors, such as, file system damage, boot loader corruption, system file corruption, MFT damage, and more. To overcome such startup error messages, the user needs to use a Vista recovery disk and perform 'startup repair'. In most of the situations, the startup issues are resolved by 'startup repair' option. However, there are many situations where the above method fails to master the startup problem. In such cases, the system remains unbootable and data saved in the system's hard drive remains inaccessible. To overcome such cases and to access the data, the user needs to perform a fresh reinstall of Windows Vista and restore data from an updated backup. But, if the user has not maintained any backup, then s/he can recover the data using a commercial Data Recovery Software.

To illustrate the above scenario, consider a practical case wherein you start your Windows Vista based system and it stops after the logo page, displaying the below mentioned error message:

"The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum."

After the above error message appears, the system becomes unbootable, further rendering to inaccessibility of hard drive data.

Cause:

Severe damage in system files is the cause for the above error message.

Resolution:

To resolve the above error message, follow the below guidelines:

1.Run sfc/scannow utility to repair the corrupt system files.
2.Boot with Windows Vista DVD and select 'Startup Repair' option.

In case both the above resolutions fail to resolve the problem, then you will need take below mentioned steps:

1.Perform a clean reinstall of Windows Vista and restore data from a valid backup.
2.In case of improper, unreadable, or insufficient backup, you will need to search for a third-party Data Recovery Software. A Data Recovery tool incorporates effective, safe, and fast recovery algorithms to recover data from a formatted hard drive.

Windows Data Recovery provides fast yet complete recovery of formatted data from NTFS, NTFS5, FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and VFAT file systems hard drives. The Data Recovery Tools is easy to install and operate. Moreover, operating it does not requires any technical knowledge and can be used by anybody.

Windows Vista Unbootable Post Autochk.exe File Corruption

Windows Vista Unbootable Post Autochk.exe File Corruption

Windows Vista based system requires numerous applications to perform a systematic booting. Corruption in any of these essential primarily results in unbootability of the system, further resulting in inaccessibility of the hard drive data. One such application is autochk.exe. This application is used to revert your system settings to their original state and perform backup whenever required. To overcome the after-effects of the autchk.exe application corruption, the user can perform 'startup repair' or 'CHKDSK' utilities. However, if the above measures fail to master the above issue, then you will need to reinstall Windows Vista operating system and restore the data from an updated backup. But, if the backup of the formatted data is unavailable or corrupted, then you will need to opt for an effective third-party Data Recovery Software.

To deeply analyze the above scenario, look at the below error message that appears at the startup of your Windows Vista system:

"error !! 0xc0190036 !! 5638/77767 (autochk.exe.mui)"

The above error message appears on the black screen. Since the boot process halts at the black screen, the data saved in the hard drive becomes inaccessible. In addition, the same error message appears each time you boot your system.

Cause:

The root cause for the occurrence of the above error message is corruption of autochk.exe file.

Resolution:

To get rid of the above error message and to access the data saved on Windows Vista based hard drive, you will need to follow the below steps:

1.Run CHKDSK to repair the corrupted file.
2.In case CHKDSK fails, follow the below steps:
Purchase a new hard drive and try to save the mirror image of your hard drive.
Now, run CHKDSK command.
Delete the autochk.exe file and replace it with a new copy of Windows Vista.
Reboot your system.

In most cases, the above steps prove successful and your data becomes accessible. However, if both the above fall short in booting your system, then you will need to format the hard drive and restore the data from a valid backup. But, in case no backup is available, you will need to search for a commercial Data Recovery utility. Such Data Recovery tools scan the hard drive using powerful scanning procedures and recover all lost data.

Windows Data Recovery is a Data Recovery Tools that fulfills all recovery needs of almost every Windows user. The tool supports NTFS, NTFS5, FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and VFAT file systems and can be installed on Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, and 2000.

Data Loss - Reasons and Tips

Data Loss - Reasons and Tips

Data Loss - Reasons and TipsMost of you must have, like me, suffered the pain of losing valuable computer data due to a wide range of reasons. The problem grows manifolds when a large organization loses huge amount of data. There are lots of files, documents, emails, database of the employees and clients, and lots of other sundry data. It is pretty obvious that an organization would spend anything for the data recovery of the valuable data. However, it would have been better if the organization had taken sufficient measures to safeguard the data as it would have saved them time, business disturbance, and lots of money. Having said that its still any day better to perform data recovery than to reconstruct everything from scratch.

To know the in-outs of data loss, you must know the various reasons due to which you can lose the data. These reasons are:
User action: It includes losing data due to deleting of a file or application, which may be required later on.
Accident: It includes performing blanket deletion, formatting an external hard drive or pen drive, or deleting files over the network.
System or infrastructure problem: It includes losing data due to power surges, faulty hardware components, software crashes, or corruption in the file system or database.
External factor: It includes losing data due to natural disasters such as floods, fire, earthquake.
External interference: It includes losing data due to virus infection or system being intruded by a hacker.

To prevent your system from getting affected due to the aforementioned reasons, you should safeguard your data and organize it against any data loss. Some of the recommended methods are:

RAID: It creates redundant copies of the data in multiple disks so that the failure of a single disk does not result in complete data loss. In addition, it also ensures better performance.
Journalizing: It includes creating a journal of all the write operations so that you could cross check the journal if the write operation fails.
Antivirus: It ensures that the system does not get corrupted by the viruses.
Firewalls: It acts as a barrier between the various networks. These networks can be of various trust levels. A firewall can control the transfer of data between the networks.
User education: The user should be well informed to be safe from the instances of data losses.

If data loss happens even after following the aforementioned methods, then you should use a third-party data recovery software to recover lost data. These data recovery tools are able to recover most of the data by performing fast yet sophisticated scanning algorithms.

Windows Data Recovery is a data recovery software that enables you to perform file data recovery of lost, deleted, or formatted data. It is specifically designed to recover more than 185 different types of files. This data recovery software is capable of recovering data from various storage media such as hard drives, pen drives, iPods, external hard disks, etc. It is capable of recovering lost emails from Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express and is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, Server 2003, XP, and 2000.

Tips to Resolve "Halmacpi.dll Is Corrupt or Missing " Error

Tips to Resolve "Halmacpi.dll Is Corrupt or Missing " Error

Tips to Resolve Your system does not boot, and you are worried about the important business and personal files saved in the hard drive? If that is the reason for your worry, then you are among millions of users who encounter such situations on daily basis.

Most of these users do not know how to get rid of a boot error message, and thus perform a clean reinstall of their operating system and restore data from an updated backup, thereby wasting a lot of time and energy. Further, in case the backup is insufficient or does not solve the purpose, they are not left with any option. However, a far easier and simpler option is available for such users. They can perform Data Recovery by using a third-party Data Recovery Solutions.

While there can be numerous reasons for a Windows boot error message, one of the most common is corruption of a 'Halmacpi.dll' file. This file is required at the time of booting and helps the desktop applications in accessing the hardware information. Corruption in this file stops the boot process in between and displays a large rectangular box with the below error message:

"login process initialization failure"

Furthermore, when a user tries to perform a system restore using 'Last Known Good Configuration' option, s/he might encounter another error message:

"boot critical file C:\windows\system32\Halmacpi.dll is corrupt or missing"

After any of the above error messages pops up, the data saved in the hard drive can not be accessed.

Resolution:

To resolve the above error message and to access the hard drive data, a Windows user needs to take underneath actions:

1. Use 'Startup Repair' option to solve boot issues.

2. Use 'sfc/scannow' option to repair the corrupted file.

3. In case, both the above resolutions fail to master the above error messages, then s/he will need to perform a fresh reinstall of Windows operating system. Once the re-installation process is complete, then restore the data from an updated backup.

4. However, the restoration process might fail in case the user has not created any backup. To recover data in such scenarios, the user needs to opt for a commercial Data Recovery Software. Such data recovery tools use effective recovery techniques to recover lost data after re-installation of Windows operating system.

Windows Data Recovery provides absolute recovery of deleted files and folders post re-installation or any other logical corruption scenario. With recovery supported from NTFS, NTFS5, FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and VFAT file systems hard drives, the Data Recovery Software can be installed on Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000.

Recovering data from virus-infected inaccessible HDD

Recovering data from virus-infected inaccessible HDD

Recovering data from virus-infected inaccessible HDDLosing your computer data can be very taxing if you consider the amount of efforts that were taken to assemble the data. Yes, these days the storage devices are available in volumes that were just unimaginable some years back, to say the least. These days you get the hard disks in the units of terabytes whereas only a decade ago hard disks were available in megabytes. Phew, times have changed is actually an understatement. Also, you get the external hard drives that remove the dependency to bank on the internal hard drives. These external hard drives are plug-n-play devices that are sleek, fast, and easy to carry around. However, having said that these HDDs too are prone to corruption and may get corrupte due to various reasons such as virus infections, power surges, removing the plug without actually disconnecting it from the computer, human errors, etc. You should use certain methods to resolve the situations. However, if the problem is not resolved then you should use a third-party data recovery software to perform the data recovery of the trapped data.

Consider a scenario wherein you have been to a picnic with your colleagues. You have the photographs of the trip in your digital camera. You transfer the images in an external hard disk and bring it to your office to show the images to your colleagues. When you take it back at your place, you are not able to open the images.

Cause:

The most possible cause in this case is that the HDD has got virus infections from the system of one of your colleagues and, thus, is now inaccessible.

Resolution:

To resolve this situation, you should scan the HDD using the antivirus that you are using. Make sure that the virus definitions of the antivirus are latest so that it is able to detect each and every virus. However, it may happen that even after using the antivirus you are not able to access the images. In such situation, you should use a third-party file data recovery software to recover as much data as possible from the inaccessible disk. Such data recovery tools recover data without overwriting the original data.

Windows Data Recovery is a data recovery tool that enables recovering lost, deleted, or formatted data from both FAT and NTFS file systems. It is able to recovering data from various storage media such as external hard drives, pen drives, iPods, hard disks, etc. This tool is also capable of performing RAID data recovery on RAID servers. In addition, this tool is able to recover deleted emails from MS Outlook and Outlook Express. It is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, Server 2003, XP, and Server 2000.

How to Recover Data From a Damaged Quorum Disk in Windows?

Recover Data From a Damaged Quorum Disk

Recover Data From a Damaged Quorum Disk in WindowsIn Microsoft Windows clustering environment, you can create quorum disk to sort out the tie-break situations if voting set of the nodes disagree on current cluster state.IF MSCS (Microsoft Cluster Service) folder does not exist or it is inaccessible, MSCS service attempts to recover quorum disk. In such circumstances, quorum disk might get damaged after the MSCS attempts to recover quorum disk. This behavior leads to significant data loss and requires data recovery software to be sorted out, if there is no backup in place.

You can check your quorum disk whether it is affected by this problem, using Chkdsk.exe utility in read-only mode. The Chkdsk.exe utility can be used in the read-only mode if the /x or /f options are eliminated. However, you may come across the below error message if your quorum disk is affected by this issue and you run the Chkdsk.exe utility in read-only mode:

"The type of the file system is NTFS.
The volume is in use by another process.
Chkdsk might report errors when no corruption is present.
Volume label is Volume.

WARNING! F parameter not specified. Running CHKDSK in read-only mode.
CHKDSK is verifying files (stage 1 of 3)... Deleting corrupt attribute record (112, "") from file record segment 3.
File verification completed. Errors found.

CHKDSK cannot continue in read-only mode."

When you come across this behavior of Windows computer, you should not run the Chkdsk.exe utility with /x or /f options. If you do so, you may come across severe data loss situations and further need data recovery to get your mission-critical data back.

Grounds of the problem:

You may come across this behavior of Microsoft Windows operating system when MSCS service attempts to recover a quorum disk from damaged state. In such cases, wrong volume information might be written to quorum volume.

Resolution:

In order to sort out the current problem and perform file data recovery, you can download and install a hotfix provided by Microsoft. It prevents the problem from being occurred in future. However, to recover the lost files and data, you need to opt for third-party applications.

The data recovery tools are powerful enough to carry-out systematic scan of entire hard drive and extract all lost data from it. They have interactive graphical user interface and read-only conduct to offer easy and safe recovery.

Windows Data Recovery is the most comprehensive and efficient utility to ensure absolute recovery in all data loss situations. The software is usable with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000. It recovers data from NTFS5, NTFS, FAT32, VFAT, FAT16, and FAT12 file system partitions.

Once I had experience with RAID 5 array in my home server and two failed drives. The torrent and image files on it were not worth of recovery but it was an important lesson for me. Now I know what backup is and digital data recovery is also one of my hobbies. I believe that every computer user should have some personal experience with failed hard drives to properly understand the importance of backups.
