Spock is the best, since he is such a classic, original personality, and he's funnier. Then again, I find it on the whole most illogical to say that one is better than the other, as one is a a machine programmed to be humanlike and a humanlike being trying to be be a machine. I like Spock better, though.

Data, lock and load

Data, I think he was created to be the Spock-type character on TNG, but many episodes just took the character to a great place for telling stories. The idiocy of Dr. Pulaski aping Dr. McCoy was a bad season for Data, but his character is a great one on a whole.
