Moving To or Starting on DataStage 8

DataStage 8 is on the new IBM Information Server and has a different metadata architecture to all previous versions.  It shares metadata and metadata functions with the other products on the server such as Information Analyzer and the Federation Server.

What is DataStage 8? 

DataStage 8 is an Extract, Transform and Load tool from IBM that uses a graphical development tool to build flow based data migration jobs.

DataStage 8 for Windows was released in November 2006, DataStage 8.0.1 for AIX and Linux was released in March 2007.
