I was looking for a book to help me talk to my teen stepdaughter about boys and dating, really hoping to help her make better choices that I did at her age, and this book has so much great advice.
It is cute and funny, and delivered in a way that relates to your teen in a way most parents can't hope to ... we're SO old and out of it, you know!

Sorry, not my cup of tea.
ElizabethJeanAllen says:
My oldest is 22 and the youngest 18. We survived the teen years with a lot of prayer and advice from friends and family that saw their children into adulthood.

- I was first married when I was 21. Things didn't work out so well. Decided to stay single for 5 years and not rush into anything! Just remarried a few years ago, this time to my high school sweetheart (we had not stayed in touch) and things are absolutely wonderful. But it wouldn't have worked when we were younger; life experience does change a person.

- I've been married for 21 years to my jr. high sweetheart. He wasn't my high school sweetheart, however-- we broke up and I went out with someone else for seven years. The boy who is now my husband remained my best friend that whole time. :-)
When they start dating, I want my kids to know (just like I did) that they can feel good about themselves, and talk to their parents about anything. Thanks for a site on an important topic!

- Teens are difficult and many parents (usually all) need a little help and guidance.
