Is She Too Old For Me ?

I am a 25 year old male and I was recently introduced to a woman who is 30. We had this instant attraction and I asked her out on a date and we had a very nice time. A couple of my friends (one male, one female) who are my age are saying I shouldn't be dating someone so much older than me. They say we don't really have anything in common and she is probably thinking of marriage and children while I am no where near ready for that. I really like this woman and want to keep seeing her, but my friends could be right. Any advice?

Here's my advice: tell your friends to shut up. What do you mean 'they could be right'? This woman likes you; you like her; you had a nice time on your date and your friends are warning she may want to be married and telling you that you're ready for it. Why are even listening to their prediction after one date?

You could just as easily meet a 23 year old who wants to take a walk down the aisle and start having children right away. What would your wise old friends say then? Look, two people in a relationship is plenty. You and she need to make decisions that are right to the two of you. If it turns out your friends were right they can say I told you so. Until that day comes, however, you enjoy yourself and your new relationship.
