I thought I would share my feelings about online dating in this space as I have heard many positives and negatives to dating online. I've heard of women having to change phone numbers because some guy won't stop calling! So while creeps and crazies may be lurking, you at least have the benefit of removing them from your life with just a simple message to customer service or clicking the "block this member" button. This is a MUCH better alternative than having your phone number stored in their cell phone.
Only desperate people resort to online dating.
Not true! Many people date online to easily filter potential dates for personality traits. So many people have met someone at a social gathering only to go on a date a little later and realize this person has nothing in common with you. So, you've not only wasted your precious time, you also have the uncomfortable "Thanks, but no thanks" message to deliver.
Not only that, but dating online offers a unique experience where you can view photos, personalities, lifestyles, and many other things all from the comfort of your own home and without the need to interact with the ones you have no interest in.
It costs too much money to communicate with singles on these sites.
