This is why Dave Ramsey is my Lynchpin
Dave Ramsey is a Linchpin in my life, and the lives of many others because he teaches very simple, practical solutions to everyday financial situations. He uses the Bible as a guide for the advice he gives for managing your finances. Dave Ramsey teaches the principles God gives in His word, not the principles taught by the world or the typical American household.
He follows some very old advise in a very new way!

Dave Ramsey Curriculum
Dave's curriculum, "Financial Peace University" is being used by churches and other organizations all over the country.
Dave Ramsey's Motto: "Live Like No One Else, Later You Can Live Like No One Else"
I have read most of Dave Ramsey's books and they have changed the way I look at my personal finances. His book "Total Money Makeover" gives you a great overview to set you up for financial success. He teaches about anything from getting out of debt to investing and giving.
If you want a more in depth plan for your family, read "Financial Peace". This is truly a perfect name for this book. In it, Dave Ramsey goes into more detail about many of the subjects covered in "Total Money Makeover", plus he adds extras, like insurance, being single/ married, buying a car or house, and much more.
My son just graduated early from High School. He asked for Dave Ramsey's books for his graduation gift from us. I say, no problem!
My husband and I have no consumer debt, an emergency fund in place, a retirement plan, a college fund for all 6 of our children, and we are on our way to paying off our mortgage.
