Dave Bing is the Mayor of Detroit

Ranked #9,611 in Culture & Society, #193,828 overall

Dave Bing Is The Mayor and... The Peoples Choice!

"He's a stand up guy!"

"He exemplifies class and elegance."

These are just a couple of the comments that I recently heard while wearing my "Bing For Mayor" button as I shopped at Somerset Mall in Troy, Michigan.

Seldom do you find a person that everyone seems to like - that seems to possess "the complete package". Yet, according to many Detroiter's... Dave Bing is the definitive choice for Mayor of the City of Detroit.

I met Dave Bing. And, I've worked for him too. And, I'll tell you what ... the people at the Mall are right!

Elected to Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (1990); All-NBA First Team (1968, '71); All-NBA Second Team (1974); Rookie of the Year (1967); J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award (1977); One of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History ('96) Elected to Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (1990).

Dave Did It!

Bing Won The City of Detroit Mayoral Seat

The February 24, 2009 nonpartisan primary has determined exactly which two candidates will go after the seat for the remainder of former "Hip Hop" Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's second term.

Dave Bing is the front runner in the #1 position, leading with 29% of the votes.
Ken Cockrel Jr., with 27% of the votes, is in the #2 position.

This was one of the most pivotal elections in city history.

Dave Bing was declared the people's favorite, he WON!

I Met Dave Bing

He's A Great Person To Work For!

I have to be honest, here. I have a special affinity for Dave Bing.

I'd often heard that Dave Bing was one of the more community-oriented big business men in Detroit - pulling up and mentoring "newbies" - new, small business owners.
Well, it's true.
We knocked on doors, wondering if it was all just one big waste of time.

But, when I knocked on his door ... HE ANSWERED.

Quite honestly, I only have two heroes. And, I've never told him this ...
but, he's one of them !

If you want to see a "walk-the-walk", "talk-the-talk", first-hand example of an honorable man that does it in grace, humility and integrity ... look to Dave Bing.

I'm a big fan of his.
Can you tell?
And no, I am not getting a dime for saying so!

Here's the "snap shot" story about how I met, and was hired, by Dave Bing ...

I met Dave, the former Detroit Piston and NBA Hall of Fame legend, along with his Spingarn Development real estate development company executives when Carlo Lofty High Rise Unique - the sister company to Carlo At Your Service Productions, was chosen to work for them in the Fall of 2007.

Carlo Lofty High Rise Unique was initially hired to design and operate the Butler-Concierge Service for Bing's waterfront real estate development project, The Watermark Detroit.

Later, I was greatly honored when I was also chosen to cater, produce and design the media/sales event that publicly announced the grand opening for The Watermark Detroit Welcome Center & Luxe Model.
Bing hosted 1600 guests in a custom created celebration space.

Of course, if Bing continues to be the poll favorite for Mayor of Detroit, because he's ethical - I'm sure that he will relinquish his Detroit real estate development interests.

"Very nice ... very nice. The Grand Opening was first-class. Carlo is something else. I trusted her to do it and she did a great job - and she got the job done."
