I love the Late Show with David Letterman! I love his easy-breezy style, and his light banter with his guests.
For example, he had the lovely Paris Hilton on last night, and she was great.
Speaking of their connection, he's like, "I mean, I'm not talking a romantic thing?" And she says, "Right." And he says, "Huh?"
Why is he so relaxed, so funny? Well, for one thing, Letterman has been hosting late night television for over 26 years, the longest of anyone outside of Johnny Carson, who retired after 30 years.

David Michael Letterman was born April 12, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, I think. He is, of course, an Emmy Award-winning American television host and comedian.
His first major TV success occurred on the long-running NBC television program, Late Night with David Letterman. After that, Letterman moved, with musician-partner Paul Schaefer, to his current place on CBS' the Late Show with David Letterman.
Letterman's ironic, often absurd comedy is heavily influenced by former Tonight Show hosts, including Steve Allen and Johnny Carson.
