David Cook stole our hearts on the seventh season of American Idol. His unique style and creative versions of well known songs made him stand out from the other contestants, but part of his charm was his genuinely kind personality. David Cooks rocked us night after night and delivered beautifully on his performances.

A Little About the Rocker Himself

25 year old, David Cook is from Blue Springs, Missouri. He went to the American Idol auditions to support his brother who wanted to audition for the show and ended up auditioning for the show at the last minute. Before his American career he worked as a bartender in Tulsa, Oklahoma and released an album, Analog Heart, in 2006.

    My closest friend's brother is friends with David Cook. He's a musician too and they used to do gigs at the same places in Oklahoma. David Cook also did the artwork on his album cover. His band is "Calling Matthew." I wonder, now that he's uber famous, if he will still hangout with his old friends.

    The first time I heard him was on the radio. This (then) new (guy) version of "Always Be My Baby" sounded so haunting that it got stuck on my head ever since. When I saw the face behind the voice and learned who he was, I rooted for him right then and there.

    Hi, I Love David Cook. I also built a lens on DAVID! I wish I was his Mom standing behind him when he won. I'm so proud of him and wish him great success. I wish I was 25 again.
