David Elliott - Before JAG

David's first Hollywood acting job, was a small part in the comedy movie - Police Academy 3; Back in Training. He plays Cadet Baxter. He was also listed as David Elliott. After Police Academy, most of David's work was in Television. He even did one episode of China Beach (a series that I rather liked).

In 1988 he auditioned for and won the role of Nick Delgado on the Canadian TV series Street Legal (which originally ran from 1987 to 1994). David only stayed for 36 episodes - assuming one episode per week - thats about 8 months.

The next stop was 4 episodes on Knots Landing - the soap opera spin-off from Dallas - and then in 1993 David hit the big time with a starring role in the TV series The Untouchables alongside Tom Amandes and John Rhys-Davies.

After the Untouchables, David then won a small (4 episode) role on the TV series Melrose Place (starring Courtney Thorne Smith) as Terry Parsons, an NFL quarterback with a sex addiction. By this time he calling himself David James Elliott, not just as David Elliott. (see video clip).

During all this time, David also guest starred in other TV series - including Seinfeld as Elaine's boyfriend - and also a number of TV movies.

Finally in 1995, David won his big chance. He auditioned for and won the starring role of Commander Harmon Rabb junior on the new TV series JAG (which stands for Judge Advocate General Corps), a role that David relished and starred in, for the next 10 years.

David James Elliott - After JAG

David has continued working in television. Even while he was working on JAG, he continued to make TV movies. Many of these movies were either romantic dramas or family movies and frequently involved children. He has also starred in several TV series since 2005 after JAG ended.

The first TV series that David was in after JAG was called Close to Home, and not surprisingly, it was another legal drama.

Then in 2008 he guest starred on Search and Rescue (aka The Guard in Canada) for 7 episodes. This was a series about a Canadian Coastguard search and rescue squad.

Next up was a Fantasy Mini Series in 2009 called Knights of Bloodsteel, and in 2010 he was called in to replace the lead actor on a new TV series called the Scoundrels. (see video below)
