The finals of the 2008 Davis Cup where contested between the 21st and 23rd of November 2008. Argentina and Spain battled it out for the ultimate international men's tennis crown. The Argentinean and Spanish Davis Cup teams played an amazing final round, with Spain emerging victorious, the player of the day was Fernando Verdasco who defeated Jose Acasuso 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
