Dav Pilkey writes hilarious children's books
Do you get pre-teen boy humor? I admit that I don't always -- and sometimes I do but I'd rather not. However, Dav Pilkey retains his child-like sense of humor and wields it with great effect as a writer. I don't know any elementary-school-age boys who don't enjoy Dav Pilkey's books and I know many girls of that same age who like them too. I work with a lot of children this age and work with a lot of teachers at this level -- and I heartily recommend Dav Pilkey's fun books for boys and girls.
I have also used many of his books to inspire young writers as well as young readers. Dogzilla and Kat Kong have both proved to be useful writing prompts as well as good for a laugh.

- My grandson enjoyed Dav Pilkey books and now he is really into the Baseball Card Adventure Series by Dan Gutman which is what my latest lens is so I am lensrolling this one to it.
