This account of the work by the author's father in bringing segregation to an end in the United States will help to to give the case and her father, J.A. DeLaine, their proper place in history.

    I loved the book - it was beautifully written. It provided insightful details not only about the awful conditions in segregated schools, but also on the tremendous courage of the Rev. DeLaine and all those involved, in changing the law.
