Footprints
Ocean waves suffocate the sand beneath,
Clouds scatter across the sky
Like April showers,
Seashells slip deeper into the sand
Like lost treasures,
Footprints left in the sand
Quickly washed away by endless waves,
The ocean deserted, visited
Only by fish swimming aimlessly around,
Salt settles at the bottom of the ocean
Like a sunken ship,
Life unknown, life forgotten.

Suffocating Depression

Cold air blows from the surrounding mountains,
Doors closed to keep the cold out,
A gray gloom covers the earth like a blanket,
A suffocating depression flows like an
Endless stream,
Windows lock and drapes are drawn,
Life seems to have ended, at least from the outside,
Wind carries away a leaf lying motionless on the ground,
Carries it up into the sky, away to a
Far and unknown place,
Lost in time.

Remains
The walls caving in around me,
The floor giving way beneath me,
My arms are bound and chained,
It's raining down upon me,
The sky fills with the blackest clouds,
My world is crumbling down,
I'm paralyzed and helpless,
It's all happening around me
It's burned in my memory,
I'm buried under the ruble of my life's
Remains.

Lost In The Unknown
I've lost all control,
Things spinning around ceaselessly,
Lost in a maze with no where to go,
Everyway leads to a dead end,
Trapped in the unknown,
Pieces of glass let sun in occasionally,
Dark gloom usually fills the sky
With endless clouds passing above,
Lost in the unknown.

Fly
If I spread my wings I can fly,
Just like you,
You can fly to the highest mountain,
You can fly to the moon and back,
You can sail away and never look back,
If you dream the dreams,
If you truly believe,
You can fly away,
You can fly like the birds,
You can fly away and never return,
You can do anything.

You are the eagle soaring through the sky,
Never looking back, You flew so fast,
I didn't even realize you were gone,
Not until it was too late.

You can fly, You can sail away,
You flew away, You sailed away,
I can fly, I'll reach you,
I'll be with you, Sometime soon, we'll
Be dipping through the clouds.

Endless Battle
Your mind says one thing,
But your heart says another.

You think one thing,
Yet you feel another.

You do something
You never thought you could,
That you never thought you would.

Things were perfect,
But were is in the past.

The road ahead is clouded,
You cannot see the future.

You look back and wonder,
About anything and everything,
Knowing all the while you can't go back.

Waves of The Ocean
Calm and serene,
fierce and ferocious,
Cold and uncomfortable,
warm and inviting,
Murky and scummy,
clean and clear,
Profound and vast,
shallow and small,
Frightening as a corpse,
Welcoming as the sun,
The waves of the ocean
Are one or the other.

Sunset
Such a beautiful day,
Soaking up the sun,
Watching the sun go down,
Waiting for the day,
When I'll be setting with the sun,
Going down together,
The sun in its beautiful array of colour,
I'll melt into the ocean of colours,
I'll blend in and be gone with the wind,
When the sun goes down,
I'll be gone for good,
Never to return,
Aurevoir to the sweet earth,
Forgotten as the days that have passed,
Erased like the winter's cold,
Suffocating in the sun's rays,
Slowly diminishing,
In the night sky,
Aurevoir to the sweet earth.

Black and White

So much grey in this black and white world,
You're finding it hard to see,
Everything fading into each other,
To hard to make out one thing from another.

Your mind so foggy,
Your life so tainted,
You're whirling around in delirium.

Every choice you make seems wrong,
Yet every alternative seems even worse.

The clouds in front so thick
And palpable-
You're almost chocking.

Stuck in the dark,
Not knowing where to go,
Trying not to hit the end,
And keep from falling and
Collapsing.

Lifeless

You look in the mirror,
Your reflection you see-
Your life flashes before you,
You seem to see it all,
It feels like forever,
Like decades fleeting by,
It's been but mere seconds,
Days and nights,
Bad times and horrible times-
They flash before you.

As if a lonely spirit-
Lost in time,
Looking down upon another's life.
You feel the pain,
You live the hurt,
You try to run,
You try to escape,
Lost in your mind,
Lost in your thoughts,
These reminiscences,
Forever they will last-
You try to shut them out,
Your tears now streaming down your face,
An eternal flowing river,
To wash them away you try.

In a seconds time,
You wake in a new state,
It was but a nightmare-
Only a nightmare
You tell yourself,
You reassure yourself again and again-
The tears still flowing,
You open your eyes,
It's all so lucid now,
As you look down upon
Your lifeless body,
It's over now-
No more pain,
No more hurt,
You finally realize the severity of it all,
Pushed by sorrow.
Driven by the memories,
You ended it all to ease the pain.

Write the Future

It's perfect when I dream,

It's everything I could want,

It's the life I've dreamed of

for so long,

I see it every night-

When I close my eyes

It all comes alive ,

If only I could

write the future,

all the pages would be full ,

I wouldn't skip a line

or miss a word,

but my future ain't a picture book,

or a photo album full of all the memories,

and it scares me to think of what could be,

If only I could write the future.
