The first time I heard the day after thanksgiving called Black Friday I had no idea what it was all about. Then someone told me that it was called black friday because that was the day when the companies went into the black and everything they sell after that is pure profit.
The first time I took part in the day after thanksgiving sales I realized how poorly organized I was and due to that I lost out on some bargains.

Every year seems to bring some new adventure or some new twist to the thanksgiving sales, now the online sales are almost as important as the traditional store sales. Cyber Monday is huge and I think it will be getting bigger every year.

Think about this, we all have kids and dragging them to the shops is never fun even when it is a good day so how do you reckon it is going to end if you get the kids out of bed at 4am and then tell them to stand in line for 2 hours until the store opens?

The Black Friday Sale is a great opportunity to walk off the turkey and pie, it is also a great opportunity to knock elbows with people while you both make a grab for that last fluffy hot water bottle cover. Is it a great chance to save some money?

Someone is offering to stand in line for you from 8pm on thanksgiving night through until the store opens the next morning. They are charging $70 for the night I believe, which if you are only looking to spend $100 or so then it may not be worth it.

However if you are trying to snag that 52 inch TV for $300 instead of $1200 and the store only has one of them, then it really may be worth paying the money and having someone else line up for you so you get the best Day After Thanksgiving sales deals.
