Greetings and salutations friends. As you may have guessed, I am Dr. Augustus Dayafter. 'But, who is that?" You may ask. Well, that is a good question. I hope that by the end of this ÆtherNet transmission I will have answered that question.

Welcome to New Babbage

New Babbage is a Steampunk and Victoriana setting in SecondLife, a kind of cross between an online video game and a multiuser chat community. You create your own avatar, dress and customize them the way you want to and have fun.
There are tons of things to do in SecondLife as well. We have music concerts, meet & greets with contemporary authors, snowball fights, races, ice skating and much more.

- This is the area in New Babbage that I currently reside in. Though I do hope to move into a bigger home soon, my heart will always be in the Canal district.

- Babbage Square is the original area of the New Babbage area. Make sure to visit for a lovely stroll.

- Port Babbage overlooks the Vernian Sea and is the home of the New Babbage Navy.

- On the surface, the Vernian Sea is an amazing place to take a leisurely boat ride, but beneath is a new center for living and commerce that is being constructed as we speak.

- One of the finest gentleman's shoppes in New Babbage. You can also purchase your very own airship here as well.

- Another great gentleman's emporium located in Port Babbage.

Dr. Augustus Dayafter is the SecondLife, Steampunk, and web-comic persona of Curtis Hart. Curtis is an independent IT consultant located in the southeast United States. He is the father of three wonderful children and an avid blogger and forum poster on the Brass Goggles Forum. He is also an avid Squidooer and served for several months as a Citizen Squid here on squidoo.com.He became interested in Steampunk after a friend sent him a video featuring Datamancer and his creations. He has since started his own journey into the Neo-Victorian world of Steampunk.
