Daylight Saving Time - Love it or Hate it
Why?
Are you a fan of Daylight Saving Time?

Yes, the extra daylight is great.
designsbyharriet says:
I live in Indiana where Daylight Saving Time is new to us. I really love it. I like having light at 8pm. Makes the day so much longer and lovelier.
RawBill says:
I like daylight savings. I grew up with it, but now live in a state that does not have it. Our city borders the next state which does have it, so most people living near the border have two times that they observe. I know many people who live in one state but observe the time of the other due to their work or kids school being in the other state. Some even wear two watches! I wish they would bring it in as the sun comes up at 4am here in the peak of summer time! I think I would rather have that extra time after work than before it.
lclchors says:
like it but it takes me too long to adjust
AnnMarie7 says:
I really love how late it stays light in the summertime.
AnthonyAltorenna says:
I like the hour of daylight at the end of the work day. The winter months seem even longer when it is still dark when you leave for work, and then dark again before the work day is done.
KimGiancaterino says:
I do like the extra light in the summer. Springing forward is not fun, though.
CountrySunshine says:
I absolutely love it! I look forward to it every year. I love it when it doesn't get dark until 9 pm in the summer
No, it only gives us ONE hour for all the trouble.
FreshStart7 says:
Nope.
ItayasDesigns says:
I would be much happier with it if we just had the same time all year long.
kevinw1 says:
No - recent research shows it doesn't actually save energy, in some states it uses more due to running air conditioning for more hours. It's an expensive and irritating waste of time.
CNelson01 says:
No!
BlueObsidian says:
In modern society, it is completely unnecessary. It doesn't give us any more time, just changes what the clock says at a particular time of day. All it does is mess up everyone's sleep schedule for a few days!
gypsyman27 says:
I absolutely hate daylight saving time, especially in the spring. It's not natural and my body does not adjust to the hour pushed forward spring and summer. See you around the galaxy...
poddys says:
I think it's become a ridiculous idea, you only have to be familiar with the airline timetables to see what chaos the different time changes around the world do to flights. If it mostly affects schools and farmers, change the school hours in the winter, and let the farmers change their alarm clocks. Problem solved.
Tipi says:
I've never seen the advantage.
blackspanielgallery says:
NO! I believe the government should not try to tell the sun what time it is.

- This was fun. I only got one wrong. Being in the USA when daylight savings started this year definitely helped me out here!

- I'd like it if we just adopted DST as the standard, and then didn't change back in the fall.

- I don't like DST, I cannot adjust to having an hour taken from me in the spring. I don't care how long it stays light in the summer. We should have the same hours year round. Regular time, not DST. See you around the galaxy...

- I was going to make a quiz, but never got around to it. Now I can just feature yours on my own DST lens. I read somewhere that Benjamin Franklin's goal was for the country to conserve candle wax. Imagine that!

- I used to live in Indiana and we didn't change the time, which was wonderful, until a stupid governor decided it would be a good idea. It caused a lot of chaos for a lot of people. I think we would all be better off if the clocks remained the same.

- A good teaching quiz. I did miss 2 but a couple others were guesses. I was surprised about 70 other nations observing DST. Nicely done and spring ahead is just around the corner.
