Mission statement
Our Mission is to provide opportunity for people in chronic poverty to transform their lives. Articulate the biblical call to social justice, inspiring hope and building a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church, and the world. Be an actor in rural areas that helps young people to get organized and to become critical actors that transform their regions and countries.
WHO WE ARE
CGID is a 501(C) (3 ) non- profit organization who wants to change minds, practices and lives. We are working to increase the capabilities of poor and marginalized people to use and control communication to build their capacities, leadership and confidence. We train women group, men group, churches, worshipers of other faiths and local government equipping them with the skills, methods and knowledge needed to take self-reliant actions to improve their lives and conditions in their communities.
People in rural areas face enormous challenges, not only they confront limited economic opportunities and underdeveloped markets, but they also tend to have less access to public infrastructure and services such as health, clean water, sanitation and education. Less able to engage in advocacy with decision makers. Resource pressure and environmental degradation create additional challenges to rural communities and their livelihoods, exacerbating conflict prone situations and accelerating rural-urban migration flows. We believe that the public and private dialogue through which people themselves define who they are, what they need and how to get what they need in order to improve their own lives. CGID utilizes dialogue that leads to collective problem identification, decision making and community-based implementation of solutions to development issues. All faiths share a call not only to care, but to act.
OUR GOAL
CGID initiatives help strengthen family relationships, the relationship between people and their environment, and the relationship between people and God. What we do helps develop well-being and prosperity in Haiti and abroad; providing support for Haitian people . Built a strong relationship between the Haitian s Diaspora and the organizations who works in production in Haiti.
Develop working skills for young, adults to become self-sufficient and contributive member of society. Increase their incomes, and build better lives for their families. Create an environment for the youth and encourage children to reach their full potential, by focusing on education. Teaching the holy bible, spiritual healing, Christian workshops, outreach and advocacy programs for the disadvantage, Education programming for Children, Youth and Adult, Cultural arts, Literacy, Counseling, Teenage pregnancy prevention, Alternative educational opportunities, Job training, Prevention to aid those living with HIV/ AIDS, Elderly services, Substance abuse and other programs to aid those in need. We seek solidarity among the communities, the countries and the world. Universal solidarity: our actions contribute to the fight against hunger, poverty and inhumane and degrading treatment; CGID also contribute to sustainable development,
by educating peasants, students, churches and communities about global issues, our role in the environment, and energy efficiency. CGID will assist in environmentally sustainable economic development and implementing programs that are economically beneficial. Thereby, improving living standards for the participants by the careful management, rather than the exploitation of their natural resources. We believe this is the only way to save and restore our threatened natural resources.
Our values
-Faith in God
- Honesty and integrity.
- Competence.
- Sense of responsibility.
- Flexibility and creativity.
- Dedication and willingness to help.
- Familiarization with modern means of communication.
- Willingness to undertake in-service training.
ACTIVITIES
Our activities contribute to a better quality of life for current and future generations in Haiti. contribute to the fight against hunger, poverty and inhumane and degrading treatment;
Partners with local organizations, CGID works to help them plant multi-purpose, fast-growing, ecologically appropriate tree species. By choosing species tailored to the needs of the communities we serve. Desperate to survive, Haitians are slowly gnawing away at their last one percent of forest, turning trees in state preserves into lumber, firewood and charcoal and burning the grounds to plant vegetable patches Agro Forestry Training: We are planning to develop a long-distance agro forestry training program that is being used to train community leaders in sustainable agro forestry practices. The curriculum covers agro forestry techniques, appropriate species, nursery and livestock management, pest control, and more. Most communities around the country recognize that they need to plant trees on their degraded lands if they are to improve their lives. We provide technical knowledge on agro forestry and sustainable development, along with planting materials so that communities can return their degraded lands and struggling farms back to sustainable production. Beneficial trees minimize soil erosion, supply forage for animals, and provide a source of fuel wood.

We are creating a cause advocacy movement. It's more than cause marketing- it's teaching non profits and businesses how to create relationships or tribes with each other and their clients/donors so that they can not only survive in today's economy, but prosper using our event series called, THE POWERFUL IMAGE EVENTS!
If you work with a motivated non profit or an altruistically minded business that is open to progressive ideas, give me a call and I will set up an interview to see if they qualify. We teach this for free because we believe it's the right thing to do.
