Ticket to Ride Board Game
The Ticket to Ride Board Game may have just become my family's favorite game. It's the one game that everyone wants to play whenever we sit down to play board games.
We purchased the game about a month ago as a Christmas gift for our annual family game exchange. We decided to open it before we wrapped it up to give away, so that we could read through the instructions and have a good understanding of the game, so that when the gifts were opened and game time began, we would be able to jump right in without having to spend a lot of time figuring out the game.
Since then, we have spent a great deal of time figuring out the game, to the point that we may have to buy another one so that the gift we are giving is a new Ticket to Ride Board Game instead of a used one.

We first looked at the Ticket to Ride board game at a local game store while shopping for gifts last Christmas. At about $55, it was the one of the most expensive board game I had ever looked at. We decided against it and purchased a different one.

Another Great Days of Wonder Board Game
Ticket to Ride Europe is very similar to the original Ticket to Ride, but there are a few little twists to the Europe version. Though still a very simple game to play, they have added tunnels, ferries, and train stations to the game play for some added complexity.
The game is a stand-alone game and doesn't require the original game board in order to play. I highly recommend Ticket to Ride Europe for the more serious game players, though either game will provide loads of enjoyment.
