Daytona Bike Week is Sweet!

Daytona Chamber of Commerce says approximately 500,000 people plus me, Sweet, attend this 10-day motorcycle event and rally held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida. You will want to bring your camera to get pictures of some extreme bike designs, not to mention the Hot women working the bars and walking Main Street. January 24, 1937 was the inaugural running of the Daytona 200, sanctioned by the American Motorcycling Association (AMA), with Daytona Bike Week being born as a tradition. Yet today it has transformed into a 10-day festival all over Volusia County. You can drive anywhere in the area and find hundreds of events for bikers and biker enthusiasts. Daytona Bike Week is Sweet when it comes to the various events and amount of them.

Survival tips if you are a first timer wanting to attend this Sweet Bike Week in Daytona. Majority of hotels want a five day minimum stay with a one night deposit up front. Reserve early as the rooms go quick, yet if you do not mind staying in a one star motel, you can find them upon arrival. Make sure you have money in the bank to draw out on your ATM. Drinks are expensive, ATM's charge $5 fee to withdraw and the police will ticket for ladies flashing their breasts in the street (bars are ok).

Bring attire for weather that can be wet, cold, etc. Men can purchase a black bike T-shirt and wear with jeans over boots. Ladies can dress as sexy as they want with hosiery and heeled outfits. The sexy outfits will get attention and do not be alarmed when someone takes your picture! Your first leather chaps can be purchased for just over $60 on main street. They will trim the length of the chaps and fit you on the spot (so have tight jeans on).

Chill during the day and drink at your room before heading out for the evening by taxi or stay within walking distance.

Jet Boating on the Halifax River

Want a break from the Bikes today and have an adventure to share with everyone back home, then try this out!

Get ready for a screaming good time!! Daytona's newest thrill ride, the "Wet-Ever" jet boat leaves the dock at Aunt Catfish's Restaurant for 30 to 40 minutes of jet boat action on the Halifax River.These boats are extremely maneuverable and can spin within their own length. The driver undertakes sensational, heart stopping maneuvers that are ONLY possible in a jet boat.

Women's Cole Slaw Wrestling at the Cabbage Patch!

Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch Bar on Tomoka Road in Samsula (7 miles west of New Smyrna Beach/or 17 miles east of DeLand off of State Road 44) is busy with bike runs all year round. Everyone comes for the ride, the cold beer and food, and entertainment. During Bike Week and Biketoberfest the entertainment includes Cole Slaw Wrestling. If you want to attend today March 5, 2008 for the Cole Slaw Wrestling, head out now and get there in the morning, otherwise you will be parking over one mile away on the side roads.

"Yes, women wrestle each other in a mass of Cole slaw," said bar owner, Ronnie Luznar. "We have done for Cole slaw what the moon did for rocks." The world famous event has expanded to include Wednesday AND Saturday of Bike Week, and Saturday of Biketoberfest. Get your camera, stock up on the beer and camp out near the front of the crowd to watch. There is no cover if it rains, so bring the right gear for the day!
