Breaking News
Day Without A Gay is now an INTERNATIONAL Event!! So everybody outside the US make sure you participate too!
Are you ready?
Countdown to Day Without A Gay
Strike
Call in Gay!
Step 1
Strike
10 Things To Do
Before Day Without A Gay
- Give your boss a heads up. (Don't want any tension because you told them an hour after you were supposed to be in!)
- Make sure you have food and drinks! (pretty self explanatory, right)
- Learn how to make yourself a cup of coffee (Would HATE to look/feel like a zombie all day while boycotting Starbucks!)
- Decide where you are going to help out and contact them (It would suck to show up and be sent home)
- Check that gas tank! (Don't wanna run out picking up trash on the side of the highway)
- Start working on your letters for equality (You know, to send to the congress men and women!)
- Just unplug the tv and internet (so you won't be ultra tempted all day)
- Get some friends to Call in Gay with you! (It's always more fun with company)
- Make sure you have some money in your account you can withdraw on Dec. 10th (Just promise not to spend it until the 11th)
- Tell your teachers (you might be able to get your work, or turn things in early)
If You Can't Miss Work
It's OK!! You can still boycott, volunteer before or after work, and write letters to your government officials. Anything and Everything helps!
Boycott
Keep that $$ in your pocket!
Step 2
Boycott
10 things NOT to do
during Day Without A Gay
- Get your daily Starbucks (come on, you can go without just this once)
- Buy Groceries (you should have thought ahead!)
- Watch television (Yes, this does include Bravo!)
- Fill up your tank (this one is important)
- Buy that cashmere sweater that is 30% off (resist sister)
- Eat some McDonald's french fries (shouldn't do that anyway!)
- Go see some strippers (except at a gay club of course)
- Use your internet (Oh Bob, what will I do?)
- Go get some drinks with the guys, or girls (it's cheaper at home anyway)
- Go see a show (No $$ means No $$)

No, I'd rather not.
Margo_Arrowsmith says:
Well, I won't be, but I do support it. Even if only gay people do this that is 1/7th of all workers and consumers. That is a huge message!
