As the equivalent of health potions in DC Universe Online, soda cola can bring you back from the brink of death with one swig. Soda cola is as useful during questing as it is in high-level raiding and PvP matches, so purchase as much as you can carry with your DCUO Cash.

Sodas are so important, especially to non-healing specs, that many players hotkey them to their controllers or keyboards. For controllers, the soda hotkey is mainly programmed as R1+0 and R1+X combinations while for keyboards, it can be set with the default 7 or any other key that's easy to reach.

Once you reach max level, soda cola becomes almost essential in the harder high-level alerts and raids, where the death of a tank or a healer can cause an untimely wipe. Make sure to stop by the police station or club to purchase them in packs of six.

In DC Universe Online, your fancy-looking costume will take a beating from the attacks of other superhumans, so you'll need to constantly repair it.

Head to the nearest police station or hideout, and you'll be able to repair your gear automatically when you talk to the vendors. Your DCUO Cash will be debited and your full gear restored to its maximum durability.

How can you tell when you need to head back for repairs? Little icons will appear underneath your user interface when you need to repair specific gear. The deeper the shade of red the piece of equipment is, the more damaged it is and the more expensive it will be to repair.

When you've stocked up on soda cola and repaired your gear to the max, and you still have DCUO Cash to burn, then you might consider trading some for powerful gear.

Other players running quests and dungeons will occasionally pick up rare equipment that can be traded. These will not only give you a signature look but also boost your combat stats. Trading DCUO Cash will be the primary way of collecting these unique items since there's no auction house yet on DC Universe Online.

To get a good trade for your DCUO Cash, try to look for a competitive seller to compare prices. However, if the item is rare enough that only one person you know has it, consider snapping up the item before other players beat you to it.

Gearing up is one of the best investments you can make in DC Universe Online, so all that DCUO Cash you spent on a rare gear piece will pay off down the road, or at the very least, you'll have a unique slot appearance to boast to your friends about while hanging out at the virtual pubs.
