Meet Dean Shainin -- the Article Marketing Wiz

Without a college education and coming from what he describes as a "humble background," Shainin went to work in his grandfather's import business after graduating from high school. "That's where I learned many of my business skills," he said.

The Internet entrepreneur started his online business in 2005. His first big breakthrough came with the advent of Bum Marketing, an expanded method of article marketing popularized by marketer Travis Sago.

Shainin launched his online business after reading a book called Multiple Streams Of Internet Income. "That was my very first inspiration because I realized the full potential of online marketing", Shainin commented. "My first big project was setting up over 200 niche sites on just about everything from dog treats to Internet marketing."

Today, his primary focus is on product development, copywriting and article marketing.

Today, however, Shainin knows the secret strategies that drive the massive traffic to his sites. In the beginning, he was like so many other marketers who write articles with little results to show for it.

Shainin has dozens of money-making systems because the Internet changes so quickly. In his opinion, it's unwise to put all your effort into one single money making system online.

The marketer admits to having systems in place that create an autopilot income. It takes very little time to keep these "autopilot income machines" running. "The time is spent on "setting up" the auto-pilot income," he explained. "Once it's set up you can walk away for many months if you wanted to."

However, Shainin believes that its always a good idea to do a little bit here and there when you have the time. For example, he continues to write and submit articles to drive more traffic and build back links.

"Really, it depends upon ones goals and how much money they want to make online."

So firmly entrenched are those autopilot systems that he could not stop them unless he stopped paying for hosting and shut down all his sites.

From Shainin's point of view, nothing is hard except the tech aspects, which he does not enjoy. Instead of doing the tech aspects himself, he engages the services of people who love to do that sort of thing. Shainin devotes his own time to doing the things he does best.

As Dean Shainin said in his own words,"At the beginning of 2007 I was $22,000 in debt, unemployed and flat broke. After reading many books several times. I realized my focus was on what I did NOT want which simply gives you more of what you don't want.

I had to make a shift in my thinking. I was sick and tired of wondering how to pay the rent and being flat broke.

When I had to barrow $100 to make rent that was my big wake up call. I needed to be self sustained. I realized I had to get back to the basics and to picture and feel what I wanted in life. I had to stop the habit of looking and feeling bad about what I did NOT want. I had to get back into the habit of feeling good and being thankful for what I do have. So, I think the biggest reason people fail is because they focus on the wrong things and give up too soon. "

At this point, the Internet businessman has dozens of current money making methods. He recommends thinking in terms of multiple streams of income and thinking "out of the box" for everything you do online. "You want to ask yourself some questions like, "how valuable is my time"? and "What's my passion"?, Shainin stated.

There are so many ways to make money online but his current focus is setting up his own affiliate products, article marketing and writing articles to promote these products.

He points out the FACT that one of the most valuable aspects with online marketing is good content. If you can create good content with your products and articles that you or other people can use... you can make more money than most people will ever dream about!

Shainin added that he first discovered article marketing as a way of making money online through Internet marketer Willie Crawford's articles. This was back before the term bum marketing was coined.

"I was a complete "Internet Idiot" who couldn't even create a single web page and I'm still a complete "tech dummy", Shainin reported. But he knows how to take massive action and find people that can do the things that need to be done to be successful.

He can now crank out a single article that generates the amount of article views that he used to get from 100 articles.

"Primarily my article writing and marketing success is due to taking action at EzineArticles.com and they are now my main focus for article marketing."

According to Shainin, only a very small percentage of authors at EzineArticles.com have any marketing skills and have a clear formula to follow... About 98% of EzineArticles.com members are "self glorified article writers". They are NOT "savvy article marketers".

He believes that these writers have it all backwards. They have absolutely no idea how to dominate EzineArticles.com let alone how to write a compelling article that captures the readers attention while grabbing the Top 10 Google search listings and therefore driving swarms of traffic to their articles and article resource boxes.

But isn't he afraid to share his secrets with the world?

"No," says Shainin. He explained that there are millions of products and services available to promote on the Internet... and thousands more are being created every month...

The Internet is wide open to everyone. He could never penetrate all the niches and there are literally billions of keyword combinations out there ready to be used.

He adds that there are dozens of hot niches and hundreds of hot sub niches that a person can dominate and exploit."But," he said,"Most marketers have absolutely no idea how to penetrate them properly, and they are full of tens of thousands of rabid info product seekers searching for a solution to their personal issues or to support their vanity..."

Competition is your best friend and ally. When you know how to do things the right way, your competition helps you dominate your niche.

Oddly, he states that to succeed at article marketing, you simply need to understand the strategies which he explains in his product. To succeed, you don't need to like writing and you don't need to be a good writer.

You just need to get it right.
